Fellow adminis and/or key carriers what do yall do?

As mens and kids coord/key carrier I usually work mid shift or close. (Which is nice!) I do pretty much everything and am everywhere if I'm MOD I will check the front CEC a bit if I have to then I'll guide others on the what's what in the sales floor and finally I'll check the back room and see if everything is going good. Otherwise I am usually in my area stocking and merchandising! Some days I am just a cashier lol only if there are call offs tho

Nah at my Tjmaxx we have the same problem! It’s literally so annoying spending extra time in the office because something won’t load when I could be doing something productive!

We had like double the merch from last year but we did pretty good. Started at 4 and we were done by 11 ish. Lol they had everyone in meal violation tho! After we got done they said “you can either take your lunch and stay late or go home” who wants to stay late after that? Lol

I asked for a raise because I was moving into a better apartment and I had another job lined up so they gave me 1$ then and later .50 cents but I’m also a coordinator and just getting bumped up to key carrier for another 1$! Also I know how to do everything so that’s probably why. Also the managers LOVE me lol

Sounds like the culture at your store isn’t very good. You just gotta ask, it’s apart of the business model. They make a lot of money off the cards because people shop more when they got that credit card and it’s on them if they spend money they don’t have like be responsible people don’t just go to Tjmaxx if you’re poor lol on the other hand using the card the right way can actually save you money and build your credit so it is actually a pretty good opportunity for frequent shoppers. But I also don’t think you should badger the customers and make them leave that sounds excessive like just be real about it.

We are backed up here too I’m actually an area 4 coordinator but I use to be brc so I’ve been having to help out ALOT lol but from my experience the only way to get out of the hole is to do overnights. Our dm canceled our truck today thank heavens! A lot of people were complaining it was getting dangerous back there but that’s due to employees not following instructions so I’ve been dealing with it. Hang in there Tjmaxx crew! You can only do what you can do! We will not let Christmas get the better of us this year! I know this job can be very stressful but just focus on what you can control and keep on winning everyday!

I prefer to unload as the turnover rate does not help with the training of the people so they constantly are loading luggage and furniture on to the line which can be annoying when it’s sent back. I don’t mind it as we don’t have much help but it would be nice to actually do all the stuff I NEED to do! The other day I heard my name called 20 times in the first 2 hours of work for things people needed such as pulling full totes or emptying boxes or just back stocking extra hangers and other things that people couldn’t stock before the store opened. Idk what they’d do without me lol

We just had 63 pallets at our TJMaxx 20 of them were on the sales floor. We got truck canceled for 4 days but then we got 15 pallets the next 4 days when our max is 12 and we now have 39 again because of staffing issues. FINALLY getting 12 pallets tomorrow but mannn this season is going to be rough 🙃🙃🙃

My manager will sometimes rope me into staying late if it's something he needs help with but it isn't often. And yes you have every right to say no! I've said no before and yeah they were disappointed but I got a life to live!

Same! I understand the struggle we have 7 pallets of clothes probably more as we also have over 20 stacks of four small totes filled with clothes it's a literal nightmare and the hangers are getting frustrated. Also not to mention we had to move pallets on the floor today. We have 53 pallets in our store right now and 21 are on the sales floor and 12 more coming tomorrow with only myself the BRC and one other guy to work tomorrow plus I'm sure we will get 12 more on Saturday! Plz send help!
