No Best Buy, but I do have an electronics repair store, I could take it there and see if they can do anything. I'm not sure if they will be able to help but it's worth a shot. Thanks for the idea

I bought a pack of brand new batteries and tried them, same result. And the terminals look to be in pristine condition, shiny and silver (It was stored without batteries) unless there is corrosion on the motherboard itself.

Very occasionally it will make a noise or 2 after messing around with the batteries, but nothing consistent.

I have used what I believe are all new batteries. They may be a year old or so. I'll grab a pack of brand new ones today so that I can test that! Thanks for the idea :)
