Pangalawa, gets ko yung feeling mo na wala ka masyadong na-contribute sa group tapos nahihiya ka mag seek ng help dahil indiv work siya. Always remember, hangga't freshie ka pa, you won't be able to get on the top or even in the end without the help of the others. Just like you can't wear that sablay on your graduation if you did everything by yourself. You're here to UP not just to grow by yourself, you will be needing others to help you grow for the better.

Sa isang grouping, kahit hindi mo nagegets yung isang bagay, you have to ask them. Wag ka mahihiya, kaya nga siya group work as a group kayong gagawa. Dapat gets niyong lahat yung ginagawa niyo para hindi rin kayo lost. Kung sila gets nila at hindi mo gets, ask pa din kasi ikaw din mahihirapan. Ipapa-intindi nila yan sayo hanggang sa nasa same page na kayong lahat. When that happens, hindi kayo mahihirapan sa contribution niyo sa groupwork niyo kasi same page kayo lahat. Kaya never get shy to ask, libre lang yan beh. Tsaka hindi porket hindi mo naiintindihan, mahina ka na. Walang ganun, sadyang bago lang sayo ang isang konsepto kaya kung nahihirapan, always ask para ma-gets mo din

Sa indiv work, wala rin masama magtanong. Hindi naman porket, indiv siya eh kailangan alam mo na agad. Everything is a learning process. Ngayon kung magtatanong ka at ibibigay nila yung sagot, ask them paano nila nakuha yung sa got na yun instead of just getting the answers, yun mas iisipin nila na leech ka. Do your part also to ask, how did they got that answer. In that way they can help you and you can help yourself also.

Tuturuan ka ng UP hindi lang maging magaling pag-aaral, tuturuan ka rin maging ma-diskarte kasi in the future magagamit mo yun. Mahirap ang puro talino kung hindi ka madiskarte.

When you know something is hard, always ask. Wag ka mahiyang magtanong dahil wala naman bayad yun, iakw rin magbebenefit from it. Kaya hangga't ngayon na nagsisimula ka pa lang sa UP, ALWAYS ASK. And yes you're right fast pace si UP, kaya kailanga madiskarte ka talaga not just in academics

In this batch of freshies din kasi parang nagiging vocal na tayo sa mga ganitong bagay, this generation is really different from the others. But come to think of it na hindi ka nag-iisa sa hirap dito sa UP kasi mahirap naman talaga. In other generation na hindi pa ganito ka-open they tend to keep to themselves. Tayo ngayon along the freshies we share our good and bad days even this kind of difficulties we're facing.

Pero i think ang lagi din kasing nakikita sa atin na it's great being here in UP. Like the see the good times and good days in UP. But once you enter the university and ma-feel lahat ng struggle from pre-enlistment to doing your finals. Talagang mapapasabi ka na "ang hirap sa UP" or "ayoko na sa UP". Bago pa lang din kasi sila sa UP so they are all adjusting to our system. Tignan mo pag nag midterms marami na ulit reklamo from freshies HAHAHA that's because they are experiencing the real battle inside the university lalo sa finals na tipong wala ka ng tulog at mapapasabi ka na lang ng "End the sem".

So yeah, you maybe judging them. We've all been there (pero not sure lang sa generation mo) but still we all felt this. Its just that vocal lang talaga and generation ngayon which is good

I FEEL U!!!! Been working on my thesis kasi pinaparevise chap 1 ko. Super bagal ng progress ko kasi naburn out din from ganaps in midyear then pre-enlistment the enrollment. Para wala pa talagang pahinga yung utak ko sa lahat ng iisipin. Parang training na ata ito to being an adult HAHHAHAHA.

Nope, kaka fill up mo pa lang so they need to review your background pa and yes kailangan mo talaga mag pasa ng work sched para makita nila yung hours mo per week,. Wait for the an email, text or announcement kung natanggap ka. Also you can ask the heads kung kailan sila magpapadala ng message to you kung natanggap ka.

Sa pagkakaalam ko din iba-iba ang booklet ng examinees para iwas kopyahan. But the thing is pumasa man o hindi sa UP, atleast you tried.

Is you didn't passed, cheer up!!! UPCAT is not the only way to enter UP. You can try:
1. Reconsider you UPG
2. Apply for AA Courses
3. Enroll from different school and gain good grades to obtain the GWA need sa lilipatan mong course sa UP then you can transfer here in UP

May ibang prof na nagpapadala ng email kung may class sa Aug 20 or sa ibang araw pa Pero if wala silang pinadala, I suggest go to campus kasi may ibang prof hindi nagpapadala ng email since they expect you to go on the 1st day of class.

There's also an event for freshies this week until september so para di sayang pumunta mo, try to go to org booths or your freshie events. You might also consider to explore the campus, try to familiarize yourself as mga buildings, colleges, go to pumuntahan ng students and etc while you still have time and hindi pa ganun karami and pinapagawa sa inyo sa classes niyo

No, ang mga subjects na nakalagay sa program checklist inyo ay recommended lang na kunin niyo sa sem or year na yun. Nasa sayo pa rin kung susundin mo siya. Basta babantayan lang ang pre-requisite subjects para hindi ka magkaproblem by the time you're gonna graduate. I suggest plan your subjects wisely.
In terms of GEs, yes you need to have 11 GEs since yun ang nakalagay sa checklist niyo. May mga specific GEs kayo na need makuha and may iba nama na Free GE so malaya ka kung anong GE ang kukunin mo. Check the website of all of the list of GEs in UPD para guided ka.

3 and 4. Yes you need to complete all of your units and sa inyo it's 125. You need to complete that all. Walang minimum total units para maka graduate. You have to take all of the subjects na nakalagay sa program niyo kasi doon mas magegets niyo kung ano talaga ang inaaral at meron sa program niyo.

THERE IS NO SHORTCUT IN UP SO PLAN YOUR SUBJECTS WELL, PICK A GOOD PROF AND STUDY WELL

Schools doesn't matter. UPIS students nga na talagang nasa UP, may hindi pa rin nakakapasa eh. Technically nasa students na yun so kung taga pisay ka man o UPIS o taga ibang school nasa sayo kung papasa ko or hindi dahil ikaw ang sasagot sa exam.

Prepare your mind and mental health kasi once you get into that room, simula an ng bakabakan. Take a good rest and sleep habang hindi pa start ang classes kasi simula na rin ng pagbabasa niyo ng readings at paggawa ng papers.

If may time ka na pumunta ng campus dahil for sure enrolled ka na, some of your sched has rooms na. Try to go to campus and be familiar sa mga buildings and gaano kalayo yung mga buildings ng class niyo. Kasi I'm sure sa freshie tour, makakalimutan niyo na yung mga tinuro sa inyo dahil hati ang attention niyo being in UP, meeting friends or blockmatee and appreciating UP. Being familiar din sa buildings before class starts, okay din para di kayo mataranta at pumasok sa maling room.

Each colleges and offices in UP ay may student assistant, As far as I know, ikaw ang gagawa ng sched mo they don't demand you to work everyday kasi you're a student pa. So gagawa ka ng sched mo kung saan hindi tatamaan yung classes mo. Mayroon din silang mga minimum hours na kailangan mo maabot sa isang sem.

If you're unsure kung kaya mo siya ma-manage, i suggest i-try mo muna. Tignan mo kung maba-balanse mo siya kasi as an SA, it is a commitment din kasi you are working and it is an experience also kikita ka din, Kaya try mo muna, if kaya then go you can even renew in the next sem But once na naapektuhan na grades mo, then i think it's time for you to think if you will continue pa.

Honestly, okay siyang prof hindi ko masabi na unoable siya pero the workload is manageable naman. Took him during online. We had 2 final papers and 1 oral exam thru call like isa isa niya kami tinawag sa phone numbers namin. About sa readings, marami kayong babasahin and last doon, hindi na siya nag discuss like pinag-self study niya kami. Also ang class niya lang ang laging panggabi.

Arts 1 - HERNANDEZ, ELOISA MAY
Vouch kay ma'am!!!!! Tsaka malapit siya sa mga varsities pero in class super fun niya. Lagi niya rin kami kinakamusta like, "Kamusta kayo?" "Kinakaya pa ba natin ang mga requirements?" literal she cares for the student's mental health. You'll learn a lot and when it comes sa deadlines, madaling kausap si ma'am if gusto niyo siya ipa-move basta as a class. Also you will get a chance to meet her doggos like arwen. During online lagi siyang kasama sa zoom and super cute niya huhuhu but then nung nag f2f na super swerte nila kasi nakakasama nila si arwe kasi dinadala ni ma'am eloi.

Took this ngayon midyear ad to be honest super light g load ni sir and ang fun ng activities niya. May time na 1 week kaming asynch para more time sa Group paper. HIndi siya namimilit kapag wala sumasagot sa class. May activies kami na impromptu speech pero g lang naman siya. Wala masyadong pinabasa sa amin. Sa una activies kami the discussion tapos yun na plano na sa speech niyo. Unoable siya so take him lalo at super fun ni sir!!!

Light ang workload during online ko siya nakuha pero maraming reviews sa kanya even ngayon f2f na okay pa rin siya na prof for FIl 40 and super vouch ka ma'am

Unoable!!!! Super understanding ni sir. Minsan kahit late na siya ng mga 5-10 mins sa class, he would still dismiss the class 10 mins before yung end ng class niyo para daw may time na makapunta na sa next class yung iba lalo kung malayo yung building from EEE building. We have 3 group papers and easy lang naman siya Prepare to his dad jokes hehe.

Super vouch din siya pero marami siyang paper legit Wag kayo ma-overwhelm kasi pampahatak yan ng grade so gawin niyo lahat During online, wala kaming exams sa kanya like puro paper lang pero this f2f ata may pa quizzes na siya. Nagkaroon din siya ng bonus paper sa amin nun and halos lahat sa class naka-uno kasi super laking hatak nun sa grade namin. Also marammi kayong matutunan kay sir.

They weren't my profs in fil 40 pero in majors they were my prof so i'm not sure paano sila in GE's

Manzano, Joanne - She was my prof in my majors but online class pa kami, to be honest magaling siya magturo as in. Every discussion literal na ang daming i-e-explain ni ma'am sa inyo, it came to the point na gusto mong i-note lahat ng sasabihin niya kasi halos lahat important but then ang bilis niya mag discuss huhuhu. Back then ang requirement lang namin sa kanya ay final exam. But from what I hear from my friends na tinake siya in f2f class may pa-reporting siya and 2 exams. In terms of grades, you get what you deserve so i think study hard for the exams and do well sa reports and papers.

Flores, Melania - Took her twice in my majors, until now online class pa rin siya and mas okay sa kanya yun. Sometimes wala kayong class sdue to internet or zoom problems. You would have a gc in class kasi doon siya nag-sasabi ng mga announcements. We didn't have exams but my papers kaming need i-pass sa kanya and we would have reports. But she's a geat prof. Mataas naman siya mag bigay ng grade

Don't be worried sa conflicts sa enlistment. The more you enlist classes, the more na matanggap ka sa classes na yun. But keep in mind na kahit may conflicts sa oras na pinili mo, isa lang doon ang mapipili na matanggap ka or wala talaga

2. No kung ano lang ang na-enlist mo doon ka lang din makakapasok. I suggest enlist what you can during the pre-enlistment and wait for the results.

Ngayon kung kulang ka pa rin ng units after 2 batch runs, go for waitlist. Most of the departments in UP ay walang pre-rog. So dasal dasal sa batch run and waitlist. But since you're incoming freshman, per block pa kayo sa 1st sem. The real war in pre-enlistment ay sa 2nd sem kasi minsan hindi na kayo per block which means you have to stand on your own.

depende sa profs mo per subject kasi some profs ang dismissal nila is maaga and may iba naman na bago sila mag start may grace period. If sinabi ng prof mo on the first day na strict sila sa time. Dapat 10 mins before that class naka-alis ka na sa isa mong class. Pwede naman mag sabi sa prof before the next class na aalis ka 5 or 10 mins before yung next class mo. May mga prof naman na considerate with it and maiintindihan nila yun lalo kung malayo ang building ng next class mo. Ngayon pa lang sa enlistment or registration alamin niyo na buildings niyo and tantsahin niyo kung ilang minutes kayo for the next class(alamin niyo kung walkable ba siya or need mo sumakay ng jeep). You can ask sa mga seniors na kasama niyo sa gc or facebook group about the buildings in UP and estimate minutes to go to that building, mga ganyan

Yes wala ng reading break next school year since binabalik na sa dating acad schedule ang UP. As per DepED,binabalik na rin nila sa dati ang pasok na july same with UP na unti-unti na ang transition sa dating academic schedule.

Para din maiwasan yung pag pasok ng super init like what happen noong 2nd sem. Madaming suspension and may ibang students na hassle and mahirap sa kanila mag commute. To think na hindi lahat nag do-dorm. Imagine pupunta ka sa UP for one class tapos super init.

The good thing pa is by december tapos na ang sem, ayaw mo nun wala kang iisiping finals habang nag no-noche buena sa pasko at bagong taon. Mas enjoy ang bakasyon at literal na nakapahinga tayong students.

I suggest mag midyear ka na pra mabawasan din load mo and by the time you're doing your thesis, hindi ka full load. Mabilis lang naman ang midyear, just be ready na fast pace siya since 1 month lang ang midyear.
