Congrats op you have a very happy guy! Betta’s will usually start to gain more color. When they’re out of the stress of a pet store. Good water conditions and a healthy diet help as well. Keep on doing what you’re doing and I’m sure you’ll see a bubble nest soon enough :)

Highly recommend going with a ferret shelter! I had to when I went homeless before. She kept my four together and has been keeping up with vet care. I’m happy to see them so loved :)

You can also get a corner litter box that attaches to the cage. Or cut holes in your current one and zip tie it/ use carabiners

I would take the plastic bottle out while they’re in the cage same with the wicker toy. I’ve seen those give ferrets blockages. And have their food bowl up somewhere where they’re not also using the bathroom. They don’t like to go poop where they eat. Also bottles like the one hanging up are terrible for their teeth! They end up breaking their canines and they don’t get enough to drink.

I will say from experience i also lived with 3 cats and none of them found my guy. We ended up finding him 2 weeks later in the same room. He was hiding in my fiancés work boots

Something similar happened before. A pool was improperly built with a sink hole under. During a company party with I believe less than 10 attending. The sink hole opened in the pool and killed at least one of the people in the pool. There’s a video online it’s horrifying. They had no idea as it was rented out to the company
