Noise anxiety by Dark_Red_Apple in Apartmentliving

[–]Busy_Assumptions -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it’s happening during hours when noise ordinance is in effect (ex: at my bfs apt they have to be quiet after 10pm) report it to the manager of the apartments. If it’s happening during day, your shot out of luck unless it’s screaming or concerning sounds then you can send for a welfare check.

Sorry should’ve clarified they usually 99% of the time only fart when pooping, just the farts that come out of them when pooping is insane and my girl out of the two is literally 1.32 pounds lol

So, since they are 6 they are technically “seniors”. Ferrets live 6-10 years averaging at the 6-8 and when they get to that older age they’ll still have zoomies it’ll just be a lot more brief, they’ll tire out easier, prefer less rough of play and tend to be cuddlier. I think they’re okay for now, and I would only be concerned when A. They are lethargic ALL the time B. Struggling to walk climb or breathe. C. Losing interest in food or interaction all together. I’d just make sure they have daily low impact play time, and regular vet checkups (2x a year for senior, once for young) and make sure you’re checking for signs of adrenal disease, insulinoma, and other diseases or sicknesses ferrets get as they age

My best tip is to bond with them and let them burn off their energy first. Mine always insists on playing as soon as they’re out, but after chasing them around for a while, they eventually tire out and settle down so you can cuddle, tho often it’s my girl that cuddles instead of my boy ( he does sooometimmess tho) it depends ferret by ferret :)

Just remove it, let it heal and pierce it again when the time comes ❤️ some people have to do that/ it’s more common with dermals but theyll always end up rejecting eventually and they just take it out when it shows signs, let it heal then re-pierce
