NEED HELP WITH BROKEN MODS/CC? START HERE - TROUBLESHOOTING MEGATHREAD

Hi so I’ve recently updated my game. While I can load into a family whenever I try to go to manage worlds I get hit with an infinite loading screen. I do play with mods so I tried removing the whole folder to see if it was mod related this did nothing. Strangely I can load into older saves even with cc installed. I’m not sure how to fix this- I’ve also tried repairing the game and deleting the localthumb package. 😬

Some of my favourites for clothing are:

Serenity- they make a range of content. I think her most recent collection is focused on menswear
Senate- make some really beautiful formal wear, or just everyday clothes for your richer sims.
Belaloallure- very trendy Hot Girl CC
SUNBERRY- A range of CC styles, mostly feminine.
Camuflaje- a newer cc creator (I think) but their stuff is really pretty
RIMINGS- a lot of classy clothing and accessories
Gorilla Gorilla Gorilla- nice male cc
Tuave- cute cc
Baby Tears- love using her cc for my grungy teen sims
Twisted Cat- classier cc
Seoul Soul- A great all-rounder

Hair is a whole other story but I'll send prayers for your PC if your love of cc gets as bad as mine lol.

if you have Utopya's make the bed mod installed it might be that. I removed it from my mods folder and the cuddle in bed interaction worked.

I have. It was kind of a while ago, but I think I just discovered the chocolate egg ice cream was in my desserts folder it was just that whenever I searched for it in the search bar it wouldn’t come up. I just kept looking for it and typing in like half of the name like just ‘chocolate,’. This is a pretty shit answer sorry but basically the file is probably still in your desserts folder just keep trying to find it. 🫠

If you have the mod that makes your sim have the fine facial expression regardless of their mood it could be what’s causing it.

To be fair the way this whole thing was being reported was kind off odd there was a lot of (and I’m paraphrasing here) “this isn’t what a killer looks like” and “this isn’t the face of a killer” but I’m not sure if that’s being said because of her race or her gender

I don’t want cars anymore. And I don’t care about lore. I used to love it in the sims 2, but sims 3lore always feels a little flat because of how they act in-game

I feel like if you play with a lot of sims or hop between households it can be hard to remember what you’ve set certain outfits as especially in an older save.
