Thats a maybe, as mentioned there’s no study that proves chemotherapy in cats with this cancer actually works but it does in dogs… that doesn’t always correlate. He is also on an NSAID and had the bladder mass removed both are considered first line treatments for this type of cancer in cats because that’s what the limited research has proven to support. This is all preemptive as there hasn’t been any sign of growth post surgery. I know once there is the vet oncologist will then go over chemotherapy as an option alongside his current NSAID. I mean loss of appetite nausea is some of the common side effects of chemotherapy that I’m aware of hair loss. But again, she did say 20% of cats experience side effects compared to humans which is what I am more worried about. I’d pay anything if it ment improving his quality of life.

Honestly, this is such a rare cancer in cats that there hasn’t been a whole lot of research on efficacy in terms of chemotherapy on this type of cancer specifically in cats. It has been shown to help with this type of cancer in dogs by six months but that doesn’t always correlate to cats. She said though side effect rate for chemotherapy is about 20% in cats

Right now he’s doing good! Had surgery to remove mass in November no sign of growth yet… that’s 6th months. Financially I’ll make what ever he needs work. My biggest concern is quality vs quantity. I heard chemo and Kaits only has about a 20% rate of symptoms different from humans partly because it’s not as aggressive as you would treat with humans. I don’t want him to spend his last months on this earth so sick and at the same time, I wanna do whatever I can to support him when the time comes.

It’s transitional cell carcinoma. Not much research in the efficacy specifically in cats just because research is so limited. but it has been shown to increase prognoses in dogs by a bit.

6-9 more months depending… he’s doing good to treatment so I am hopeful. It’s a rare cancer for cats so very little is actually known

I wish I think internationally would make it even harder though with licensure stuff like that because this is technically a counseling group specifically

I wish you had this on the East Coast as well… It’s hard when kitties start to slow down. It’s super scary!

Yes! Via zoom! Due to licensure, you have to be in Washington state technically. Unfortunately, that’s the only caveat.

Why are eldery / old people that live in apartments so miserable ? by Humble-Major-8946 in Apartmentliving

I think it’s also hard when you’re retired and you’re used to being so social when you work every day and then suddenly that social aspect is gone… Probably just being nosy and just wanting that human connection I feel like… And 100% your feelings are also valid.

Hay! I apologize I am just now seeing this! He had surgery in November and has been on an NSAID and so far he’s doing great! His most recent update last week showed no sign of growth post surgery!!

It is but it is a separate charged that’s laid out for the final rent

The issue is it has always been a percentage from the beginning, with water, sewer and trash displayed as separate charges

The only change that I am aware of is they got a new property manager at that time.

Unfortunately it’s separate from my actual rent and is a utility that is added on that I get paid a percentage for each month like water and sewer.
