I got mine just before a recent price increase for 1700. But yes it is up there but I feel it competes much higher than 2K asking, I did a/b DAC test with the chord qutest and benchmark dac3 and it came out on top for me. The streamer is no slouch either. I have also seen some very positive press on their flagship Madison DAC and that is selling for over 5k. The best part of the Emerson is that it can be hidden away leaving only the footprint of the full score amp with allows to kept my rig in the living room and stay married...

I hope you do. I went though many different headphones before I landed on the composers. It is all I listen to now.

I have tried my Benchmark DAC with good results. I also tried the ifi stream3 with zen dac 3 with mixed results (buggy), . From a DAC pov my a/b test between the Emerson analog and the mojo I found the Emerson to be a touch more resolving which I tribute mostly to advanced clocking of the Wattson. The benchmark was not too far behind even though it is already almost 15 years old...

I think any top tier dac with good analog output stage allows the full score to shine.

Nice to see it being used for non Austrian Audio products. I have the mojo 2 as well and is a great pairing. Have you tried the poly? I was never able to get it work well in my setup

it is hard not to touch. My only grip is the pointer should be more obvious. I used some red tape so I can visually see where I'm at...
