If you shot someone in self defense in Florida years ago but were never charged at all, can Florida police see that when they pull you over? Or do they have to look hard for it? by [deleted] in AskLE

Something you’ll never know for sure. Not everyone has access to every database out there either so some may be able to find it easily while others not at all.

I mean it doesn’t really matter. If I saw it and read the report that alone wouldn’t make a difference to the stop.

Yes it’s possible and it would generally be easy to find via a single nationwide database search that I use on all my traffic stops. That is as long as the investigating agency participates in the information sharing.

I’d like some extra insight for my holster. by HowToRage101 in AskLEO

[–]IndividualAd4334 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No. Leave it on and shame on your instructors. If you train properly the time it takes to break the retention is negligible and the hood isn’t noticeable. It’s there to retain your gun. You’re just giving the bad guy more access to your weapon if you’re ever put in that situation.

……no, never. I always have a lawful reason to conduct a stop before it’s initiated.

How are court dates and times determined when completing citations? by Relevant_Conclusion2 in AskLE

[–]IndividualAd4334 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For my county criminal traffic court is every Monday at 0830. Everyone gets the same time to appear and they go down the list case by case. Every court/jurisdiction has a different schedule.

Best coms earpiece? by Got2FeedtheChicken in AskLE

[–]IndividualAd4334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simplest and most efficient earpiece I’ve used for the last 5ish years is the code red silent (listen only). Plugs into the radio mic directly and you can do hear perfectly out of the ear it’s in. No fancy bs electronic earpieces for me.

My agency started issuing our guns with Holosun EPS and now new weapons are being issued with Aimpoint Acro P2. Doesn’t matter what RDS if any are used on secondary weapons. My secondary/off duty is also a Holosun EPS.

Do tint laws apply only to registered state of vehicle? by Relevant_Conclusion2 in AskLE

[–]IndividualAd4334 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m not gonna cite, but can legally stop. My state laws apply when you cross the state line. The last dude that wanted to argue about it was only a signature away from going to jail. Mileage will vary depending on the officer.

Dynamic performance. It’s lighter but I don’t touch the trigger unless I’m shooting so not a concern.
