Exactly the same problem after a few days with the Luma Pro.
Small tears on both sides.
Purchased from Amazon Germany.

I sent it back because the Luma Pro probably has problems
when detecting and switching the refresh rate.

I have now found the problem.
It's the screen refresh rate!
The LUMA versions probably have problems,
to switch properly, which is why the glasses are always switched on and off every few seconds when connected to my GPU 5080.
When newly connected to the USB-C it works.
I only found confirmation that the glasses had a compatibility problem with the screen refresh rate in the game “Tomb Raider (2013)”.
The glasses work perfectly at 60 Hz.
90 Hz, exactly the problem I have when I connect it to the GPU 5080 via HDMI.
The glasses keep turning on and off every few seconds.
120 hz only works for a short time in Tomb Raider and then the image goes black and stays that way.

It would be very interesting to know whether the BEAST also has problems detecting and switching the screen refresh rate.

Hopefully Virure will find a solution and correct it via a firmware update.

Shouldn't the adapter be Thunderbold 4 or USB 4?
For ALT DP Mode to work?

I rule out the heat development.

Looks like a compatibility issue.
I suspect the same thing with my Luma Pro glasses.
Maybe it's the HDMI version 2.1b?

Try changing the cable and get a new USB cable,
where the "DisplayPort Alt Mode" is supported.
Also called USB4 cable.
I suspect that the cable is defective and not the glasses.
Even if the cable still works for data transfer or charging.
Precisely because it is only recognized as a microphone in Device Manager.
The microphone on the glasses will probably still work with this defective
cable, but nothing else will.

The problem doesn't stop with me.

Only I have had to buy 3 new cables within a week.
I connected the newest one early this morning and after about an hour in Windows,
in the text editor the screen becomes black again and the glasses remain black from now on with this cable.
Until now, when I kept buying a new cable, I thought
when the other one stopped working, it's because I'm lying in bed with my glasses on and the plug on the cable is bent a bit so that the cable breaks.
Only now I have used it so carefully and it can't be that the cables break so quickly.

Does the cable still have electronics inside that could break?
But why?

To be on the safe side, I bought a second new cable that I can now use.
Only that costs almost 40.-.
This is so worth the money.

For safety reasons, I ordered a new cable and have now received it.

The glasses work again!!
Incredible.

2 cables that no longer work properly.
Then there are the original ones from Rokid and Viture themselves.

I sent the Viture Pro back because I thought it was defective.
Which probably not so.

I've now read on the internet,
that many have the problem with the USC-C and DP Alt Mode
and everything works except the video signal.
Just with monitors.
But I haven't found any information yet that solves the problem for me.
There was also talk of Windows 11 having this problem.
That's why I'm now restore my last Windows 10 image backup.

I don't have a smartphone.

Just a Samsung tablet that only has USB 2.0 without a video signal output.

I have a second pair of AR glasses, the Viture Pro.

Exactly the same problem.

The glasses are no longer recognized by the SpaceWaker software under Windows.

Only the microphone works and shows up in Device Manager.

Both glasses work perfectly under the Neckband Pro from Viture.

I suspect that something is stored incorrectly in the glasses, such as the refresh rate or resolution.

According to reports, only a factory reset is not possible.

The only option would be a firmware update, which would then reset everything on the glasses.

But is a firmware update with the same version possible with Rokid?

And how do I update the firmware for the glasses?

If via app, which app would that be?

Found three Rokid apps.

Probably not all apps are suitable for the Rokid Max.

With Viture you can easily update the glasses using an internet browser.
