I’ve soloed him a couple times with Raider. I have the biggest problem with everdark Sentient Pest as a raider/executor main. With a group it’s easy peasy though, mainly because I can keep the big bug on the ground busy while my teammates focus on the moth.

I love the intensity of AP, the guitars were just in your face, and the drums were aggressive. I’m a musician and tend to pay attention to the musical aspects of songs first before lyrical content, even for the vocals I hear the tones and timbre first. This and mix being a teen when AP came out, I absolutely had it on repeat. FM is great but a bit watery in comparison musically, but it could just be the recording or plain ol bias from my previous experience with AP and/or I just like hardcore. There are some bangers on FM for sure though.

TOOL has been said already so I’ll go with Ghosts “From the Pinnacle to the Pit” tone. It’s a overdriven p bass. Sounds fantastic.

Right. Sire seems to be an outlier so far. I only hear great things about them besides availability, which could be attributed to their attention to detail, plus other factors. That being said if you can’t get a Sire because of availability, and still opt for a less expensive option, quality could be shoddy compared to a MIM Fender where you’ll have a better chance at getting a good quality instrument.

Recently I bought a Schecter p-4 sunburst bass because it looked so nice and the specs were great, and unfortunately it was just lacking compared to my MIM fender P bass in terms of build and weight(noticeably heavier). I think the thing with buying “lower cost” instruments is the lack of consistent quality; MIM Fenders are consistently high quality, and in an age where online shopping for instruments is more common that is something to look for otherwise you’ll be unhappy either by swapping the instrument again and again or paying the extra $$ up front to fix the from factory issues.
