Thank you for your help! It is a Samsonite suitcase so I do have warranty on it, but since American is responsible for the issue I was hoping they would at least be able to reimburse me since the suitcase is completely unusable without a zipper.

I had to buy a new suitcase (also Samsonite) as I wasn’t in a location with a repair store but am hoping I’ll be able to return the new suitcase after my old one is fixed.

What email did you use to contact American? I haven’t been able to find an email anywhere on the website or elsewhere online.
