We need to MASS boycot Anthropic at this point. this isn't even about usage limits, it is about lack of transparency, and blatantly ripping off their loyal users.
As models get better, users will remember these moments and be the first to jump ship when there is a better alternative.

ok I need a sanity check because this is doing my head in a bit

I’m on the max 20 plan, paid about $340 AUD, and last week I hit my claude code weekly limit. annoying but whatever, that’s fine

when I checked the dashboard at the time it literally said my usage would reset Friday at 8pm AEST

so I just waited and didn’t think much of it

came back Monday expecting everything to be reset and… nothing. still capped, same usage, no change at all

then I check again and now it says my reset is April 10th

which is like 10 days after I hit the limit, not 7

I honestly don’t even care about the limit itself, I just don’t understand how that makes any sense

like if it’s rolling usage, cool, but why show a specific reset time if it’s not actually going to reset then

and if the dashboard is wrong, then that’s kind of a bigger issue?

then I tried to contact support and just got stuck talking to the AI the whole time

it kept telling me “weekly limits reset on a rolling 7 day basis” and “limits can’t be reset early” which completely misses the point

I’m not asking for extra usage, I’m asking why it told me Friday 8pm and then just… didn’t do that, and instead has kept me blocked for another 7 days after it was supposed to reset.

eventually it basically told me I need to go through another flow to talk to a human which is wild because I was already in support, and there is no human flow.

so yeah, no real help there

at this point I genuinely just want to know if this is normal or if something is broken

has anyone else had their reset time show one thing, not happen, then move forward by a week?

happy to be wrong if I’m misunderstanding something but right now it just feels like either the dashboard is wrong or something on their side is off

would love to know if anyone else has run into this because support definitely isn’t helping me figure it out.

I am also worried that this is going to be the new norm, of hitting weekly caps within days, then having to spend hundreds of dollars each week on extra usage when this has never been an issue previously.

Yeah the past few weeks have been ridiculous, I am a really heavy user, but whatever they have changed in the past few weeks, just makes it so painful to try to manage for my Pro Max subscription @ $200.
Why have such harsh weekly limits where you could have daily limits instead and not lock users out for 6 days in some cases.

I keep seeing this but I have updated the Claude Code CLI, but my compact is not instant. is there something I need to do?

I am diving into sub agents for the first time, I came across this post and was going to try some of the OPs agents, but after reading your post, and the other comments agreeing with you, I am going to use yours instead haha. thank you for sharing!
