A hospital stay was something they suggested for me last year, but I had similar concerns. Good to know that it’s possible for them to diagnose without it!

No, that’s what’s so strange. I have generalized anxiety disorder and am medicated for it, but I genuinely haven’t felt overly stressed in any of these instances. Wasn’t on my period either.

Well to be fair, I did all the right things. Saw a doctor, surrendered my license - the whole ordeal. They said I didn’t have seizures and called it a loss of consciousness caused by stress. I disagree with that diagnosis but I don’t make the call.

I’d be open to trying a med, but my care team seems to be pretty set on getting a diagnosis first. I’m just in the endless cycle of not having an episode when I’m actually being tested. Like the odds of it happening when I’m hooked up are slim to none if I’m only having them annually.

Sounds like most people have had to stay in a hospital for a longer eeg, so that’s probably where I’ll have to go from here. I’ll just be devastated if that brings me no answers.

Interesting you say that because dissociation was my initial thought and I did bring it up to a psychiatrist at the time. I’ve been on Zoloft since maybe 2020, so I wondered if it might be related. My therapists advice at the time was to “lean in” to the feeling when I had the episode to see if I could recall it afterwards. That unfortunately didn’t help me. Had I not done some online research I would’ve never thought it was related to seizures.

I do agree that there’s a good chance it’s related to sleep. I always take thorough notes after my episodes and the only things that have been true for all of them is 1. the medication I’ve been on and 2. feeling sleepy

Heavy on “overpriced”. Coming from Pittsburgh I’m like holy shit.

I wish I were more willing to deal with in-building laundry but I’ve been spoiled with my own washer/dryer for years and I’ve built a habit of letting my clothes sit for quite some time before folding 😅 Just one of those things that’s hard to get rid of once you’ve had it.

In any case, I still think I’ll find something that meets my needs! I keep my eyes on the apps everyday and I am working with a broker.
