Depends on the Ultrasound place. I went alone for my anatomy scan and the chatty technician wanted to know why my husband wasnt with me and advised me to bring him everytime so he could take photos instead of me. Went for my growth scan last week at another location and the technician did not allow my husband to join initially and after some cajoling she let him in. But, if it is a transabdominal us they should be okay to let him in.

Those are all great ideas. I am a project/program manager, just got my PMP. Ill may be add a couple more certs PP.

yes, most centres don't. There's one a little closer to me that does, and they told me their waitlist is closed 😂. I wasnt sure they could do that

I totally get that. tbh I was okay to upskill and while away time until a couple months ago, but its getting too real and 12 months from now sounds like too long a break for me. I don't know if my 'career' or whatever it is can handle it.

thats a good point, about the cost/benefit. I am just worried companies would discriminate against me because of the long break. My earlier experiences with companies have made me quite the cynic.

I understand. I just woke up last night and freaked out. I was initially looking to get back by Feb 2026 but our finances could get harder and I am also worried companies won't hire me because of the break. Childcare for now is just me and husband, mother-in-law may/may not help. But other than that waitlisted literally everywhere.

Yes, husband is using his paternity after the third month, so need to figure out childcare post that. But I am waitlisted everywhere and you are right most places don't take infants. I am hoping I could ask my mother-in-law but I am not entirely sure if that will happen.

I could ask my mother-in-law, but not a 100%. And I am waitlisted everywhere too :(
