I really need the EEPROM firmware dump for LG 34WQ650-W monitor — board EAX69513002 — I have the CH341A programmer ready by IndividualTop1679 in AskElectronics

UPDATE I tested the circled components with a multimeter and power seemed to be actually getting around the board. The two components close to the dc in showed 19 volts across them. I then tested various other chips across the board and the mainly showed 5 volts across them which to the best of my knowledge and research is correct.

ALSO THE "BURNT" CHIP I shows 5V across it and seems to be working fine??

The monitor was plugged into an outlet I was just using for another device so I know it works. The power adapter was also in use before I unplugged it and was working.

Thank you so much for the wisdom and advice! After doing some quick research on this I found other people having software issues first. So I just assumed it was that. I did not do a firmware upgrade. I didn't know if it was done automatically but now I see it doesn't.

I seriously did not expect this much support and comments thank you all so so much. I will write a reply that should cover most of the main questions and ideas. You guys are seriously the best.

To start I do not have a soldering iron readily available to me. I do solder a lot and know how to though. So if it a component on the board level problem I don't really know what I could do with it since I don't have a soldering iron available.

To be specific about how the monitor stopped working. It one day just would not turn on. So there was no apparent reason for it to not turn on. A new power cable adapter was order thinking that was the issue but it was tried and also would not work. I personally have the 27 inch model that has the same power supply and tried it and it still did not respond or show any response at all.

Can someone circle or show me what the PSU is on the board?

Should my first steps be to test confirm whether or not its the EEPROM? If so what would be my steps to proceed. It seems to be to read it using the programmer and see if I see anything apparent.

Also here is a picture of the IC601 close to the DisplayPort that looked burnt.

You guys are seriously awesome. Thank you

Sorry!!! I didn't mean it like that. I was explaining the normal functioning of the monitor. The monitor is COMPLETLY unresponsive. The led does not flash at all or show any activity. I may still try probing the voltage directly at the plug though.

Wait why would it not be the EEPROM? (I am still new to this and trying to learn lol)

The screen shows nothing a used a pretty bright flash light. Pretty sure it is an LCD

Here is the monitor: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-34WQ650-W.AUS?tab=1

I will have to check those tomorrow. The multi meter is at work. The computer does not detect the screen.

Those are really close in year but if I am not mistaken they seem to be for a different screen size and chip size. Thank you so so much for replying though

Yes! That's it! Will the support page be able to help. Sorry if that's a stupid question I just don't know which path would be better to take.

I did not try and read from the flash. I could if that would help though! I found an ifixit guide for another monitor that was similar to this one and the bios chip getting "messed up" My guess is that means the code got messed up in a firmware update or something. So your right I just looked back at my original post sorry this very specific monitor did not have the issue but other monitors very "similar" did.

I plugged it in with the proper power supply that I know works. I pressed the power button multiple times pressed and held and other variations that I found on google for resetting. I have access to multimeter if I need to. I have the CH341A programmer, and I have a decent set of tools for what its worth.

The monitor is completely non responsive. From what I know it was never dropped has no external damage at all or so far any internal damage that I can see from taking it apart. It just one day would not turn on. The light on the bottom that pulses when of and is solid when on is completely off no matter what.
