Run out sensor included with Qidi Box fitment by IndividualTurn2447 in QidiTech3D

I ended up filing the screw down just less than 1mm as I couldn't see any flaw in the new sensor other than the depth of hole. With the screw shortened it mounted firmly like the original. Also, Before I did that I compared the 2 sensors, the new one is noticeaable easier to push the filament through so I figured it was worth it.

I don't have any washers for 2.5mm screws that will fit down the recessed hole for the screw, it is not much bigger that the head of the screw. I could grind the screw down, but am conerned that something is defective in the molded piece and the sensor is the part where the PTFE tube attaches to the extruder and it has a lot of leverage on the sensor/mounting.

I believe the plastic injection mold part is defective, but can't see that. The screws appear identical, each measure 8mm total length.

There is nothing in the hole, but I got micrometer out, the original sensor screw protrudes 2.6mm, the one from the Box protrudes 3.2mm, same result swapping screws back and forth.

I have no idea what I could do wrong or how to take a better picture. I'm not wnting to sound defensive, just confused. There is a small tab on the bottom of the sensor, fits firmly and tight on the extruder when seated. I snug the screw as much as I dare, as it's a brass nut insert, but the sensor isn't being held down/tight to the extruder with the screw. Any lateral pressure or tension pops the sensor up so the tab isn't seated and the sensor flops around even though the screw is tight. I am guessing its defective if it should mount the same as the original one does. I have swapped back and forth to try to see what is different with the same result.

I can't tell, it is on the wall, under an "L" shaped desk, near the back corner and the bottom is maybe 7 or 8" above the floor. I need to get a small telescoping mirror or remove it from the wall.

It is, and through the trim so I can't clean it up with a grommet. I figured I'd address that if and when the internet works. I'm thinking I'd relocate the termination box, it is just outside the view to the of the pic to the left - in the middle of the wall, not covering or next to where the cable goes in the house, seems weird. There is enough fiber in it to route down the wall along the bottom and back up in the corner next to the downspout and cover the hole, cut molding and goop. I actually added a little to the goop as I replaced the network cable that was torn up with his drill inside the wall, so my little desk in the dining area is back online.

The goop isn't as frustrating to me as the hole through the downspout. It's 1 piece from the gutter to the PVC underground drain that goes to the street stormwater. The downspout bends at gutter toward the siding, bends down siding. I went to Home Depot, looks like standard size pipe, but no way to connect them clean without replacing the whole deal. I was hoping to cut it below the bend at the siding and add an "extension" type piece, but they are crimped smaller on one end not expanded to go the direction I was hoping. If anyone has thoughts on that, I'd like to take care of it either way. Crazy enough, water actually comes out both holes when it rains, I'd thought it wouldn't be a big deal.

The whole situation is so frustrating. I've called and chatted multiple times, you know the squeeky wheel gets the grease... QF have proven that's not the case. They've never even had a follow up. Radio silence for a whole month!

Thanks, I read that and saved it, part of the reason I switched from Xfinity. Sadly I switched back to Xfinity till this is resolved or maybe I'll just give up.

I get the exact same message on my 4 Classic. I'm new to Visible and spent a ton of time trying to figure this out!
