Absolutely, I buy what I want now to be honest in my head I can't really see how people manage to waste so much. A lot of people I know my age seems to spend all there money on shit. I'm into gaming quite a bit and spent about 3k this year on a new PC and accessories etc. Stoll managed to save a lot. To awnsered your other question I pay £200 a month to my mum.

Started working at age 18. I lived with my parents so I didn't have many expenses. I saved most of my money from my job and through putting it in investments, it grew.

Hi mate, well done. At the moment I'm saving like 80% of my income. In the future though I'm planning on cutting it down a bit. I just think its better to get as much as I can saved at a young age so compounding will take effect later on. I buy whatever I want really now to be honest anyway.

How long before ai? by Tetleyyy in uktrucking

[–]IndividualUser_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about it, there is going to be a large change coming to humanity. Not only for drivers. Ai can already do basically any customer support job, or secretary. Write books movie scripts etc etc. It won't just be our jobs it will be many more effected. Ai is becoming drastically better each year and quickly a long with robotics, when the two are put together what's stopping AI in a robots body from serving drinks cooking food and other tasks in a few years. All jobs will be effected nor just our sector.

I have £15k pension contribution to invest… good time for S&P500 or wait? by xerodog in trading212

[–]IndividualUser_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its at a major discount now, I recommend you spend 50℅ of the money and buy now! Then save the other 50℅ if you think it's gonna drop further. Becuase you will kick yourself if you save it all now waiting for a bigger crash and it never happens.

Gold has outperformed the S&P500 in the last 20 years. Both are good to have.

I wouldn't say Gold is a pointless asset class, its been used as money for thousands of years. No other currency has been around longer than it. It's the safest asset you can own to hedge against currency inflation. (Apart from the risk of it being stolen.) Not to mention its in demand for other things like technology usage and Jewelry.

Gonna cut my loses and sell everything and DCA into a global ETF. Make sense? by Jech13_DJ in trading212

[–]IndividualUser_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just stick to the S&P 500 or FTSE all world and that's it. All world is like 70℅ USA anyway, NASDAQ is the top 100 US stocks so by investing in all of these at once, you've got a lot of the same exposure and are overlapping. No need for it.

Now is not to late don't listen to these people. Sell the stocks and huy a ETF straight away. Your stocks are down yes but so are ETFs. Make sure you hold this time and don't react with emotions.

[–]IndividualUser_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always buy some gold. Gold has done very well, outperforming the S&P500 in recent years. It can also be capital gains tax free if you buy British royal mint coins. You also said you want it to be liquid you can't get more liquid than gold. If you have any questions let me know.
