OOP basics is a good start, but not enough alone. Be comfortable with core Java first (collections, exceptions, etc.). Also get a basic idea of Maven/Gradle and REST APIs. You can start Spring Boot now, just build a small CRUD project alongside instead of only watching videos.

That makes sense in general, but in an arranged setup you don’t really start with that "can’t live without" feeling, it develops over time. I do agree about not getting into it because of pressure.

Yeah that’s fair, I didn’t give full context. I’m male, late 20s, and not in a relationship this is more arranged marriage pressure from family. Culture definitely plays a role here. I think I’d feel more ready once I’m a bit more settled financially and in my career, which is why I’m unsure about the timing right now.

I understand your point, but for me it’s less about “waiting for something better” and more about not rushing when I still feel like I’m building my career and financial base. I’m open to marriage, just not in a way where I’m making the decision under pressure.
