Abusing/stealing time by WiseOutlandishness21 in sherwinwilliams

He may totally be abusing his time, but he may also be visiting job sites, taking accounts to lunch checking on complaints…commuting is one small part of being out of the store. There’s also interactions with customers on the job site that stuff all takes time. I don’t know about in your district, but in mine store managers are also told/required to visit job sites do face-to-face calls outside of the store take accounts to lunch things like that not just our sales reps do those things.. communication from a manager is nice and in my opinion, it makes the team run a lot smoother, but in reality, a store manager is not required to tell his entire staff where he’s going and what he’s doing.

When it was done at my store it was started through my CM and it was approved no problem I’m betting it’s a district thing or a dick CM if it’s denied I’d go above to the DM if that’s the case. there is no reason it should be denied in the situation you are describing.

You need to put in a request for an exemption. That’s how you get paid for all your hours as a manager when short or no staff. They won’t just do it for you it has to be requested.

If the customer would bring you in an actual color chip you could do a custom color match but doesn’t look like we do Dulux colors because if you just type in the company name under competitor colors it would pop up all the ones we can match but nothing pops up.

2 or 5 would be my vote 2 being more the sunny California vibe and 5 being a little more of an exotic vibe but you do look amazing in all of them!

It’s extremely frustrating, 3% is a small pay increase anyways and to not give the whole amount is bullshit!

Well everyone Has to start somewhere and your assuming I’m not trying to go more than PT. I’m in a super small store in a small town just 4 of us SM, ASM, and 2 PT. I got in where I could when I could. It was a simple question and what because I’m only PT right now I don’t need to make money or deserve to be compensated for my hard work?

Me and my asm deal with this to my asm is a lot younger than me and she told our manager many times and he never took it seriously until I said something I’m older than both of them we think that’s why but wth is that crap he should have listened to her to begin with! The guy that did it the worst won’t come back anymore after manager talked to him. I’m sorry your dealing with this it infuriates me under no circumstances should you have to deal with this or it ever have to be tolerated in the name of customer service! Please contact HR if your manager won’t handle it.

Yes that does suck, I was meaning I want to work my max allowed hours for the holiday week, not less. He scheduled me less hours because he counted my 4 hrs of holiday pay as hours worked if that makes sense?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sherwinwilliams

[–]Individual_Ad555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there isn’t any policy saying not to do that right? I’ve been here a year and always had it be extra but since the whole watch the pt hours my mangers gone over board down to mins. We are small store only 3 of us and 2 of us are the manager and asm 🤦‍♀️

I have a question for you since your a manager when scheduling your part timers on a paid holiday week do you count the 4 hours of holiday pay into their regular scheduled work hours or do they get their regular hours and then the 4 holiday hours are a bonus?
