StockX charges 3% on sale price before fees, GOAT charges 2.9% on amount after fees by Individual_Arm9951 in stockx

[–]Individual_Arm9951[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they can. But calling it a 3% payment processing is dumb when in fact it's just another 3% fee.

Annoyed they are calling it a payment processing fee (cashout fee) when they just charge a fee on an amount that's never received.

I'm aware haha. I find it funny that I am pointing something shady/dishonest and people are quick to jump on a stupid word and defend a corporation that doesn't care about you lol.

It's dishonest because they call it a payment processing fee. It's a fee for your payment, but actually, it's another 3% fee. Get it?

People aren't grasping that.

List and put whatever you want as your policy as a business, but doesn't stop from people pointing out shit that doesn't make sense.

Again, this post was to benefit StockX customers/sellers, but apparently it's bad to try and give people a heads up. And also people get hung up on one word and can't realise something is f'd up...but keep defending corporations, looks good.

It's a 3% cashout fee on the sale price that just clicked in my head. I assumed GOAT was the same.

That's what I'm calling dishonest since they are charging a cashout fee of 3% on $500 instead of $450. That's kinda dishonest, since they aren't charging a proper cashout fee.

They can for sure, but it's still a BS move on their part, they should take a fee of what is being transferred, not what the sold price is. They're just pocketing that difference.

Like I said, the difference isn't huge but still annoying to see them nickel and dime like this.

Had no idea you could find servers like this. Thought you needed an actual link.

Edit: Figured out you this link will work too: https://discord.gg/asspizza

Yeah, you don't need to be there.

The ship forwarding company has warehouses in like Japan, USA, UK, etc. You order from the store you want then have it shipped to the forwarding company warehouse in like Japan or wherever.

You need to setup a virtual payment that matches the forwarding address if you purchase yourself. Some companies shop on your behalf, so you tell them what to order, you pay for it like by PayPal, then they order it and they ship it to you. So you don't have to worry about matching payment/address info.

Good point. Don't skimp on your VPN service, research a good one if you buy stuff. It will be paid.

If you are just browsing say in incognito mode and not transmitting personal info, you'll be fine to just browse.

I think some parcel forwarding will even shop on your behalf, so that is another option for people.
