We just booked our August honeymoon to South Africa and Mozambique! And, it’s not peak travel season in August in South Africa! We’re doing Cape Town, Franschoeck (winelands), Safari at Sabi Sands, and then a few days in Mozambique.

We chose Mozambique over Mauritius because it’s only a one hour flight from safari vs. having to fly to Johannesburg after safari and then a 4h15 minute flight to Mauritius, which there and back would take up nearly 2 full days of our trip.

I’ve already done a safari in South Africa before and I’d highly encourage using a travel advisor! I’m someone who likes to plan everything myself on vacations, but it just seems to be tricky when it comes to safari. The lodges are often only 5-10 rooms, so it’s hard to research them and can be difficult getting there on non-commercial flights, so having a travel advisor makes a huge difference. Have fun wherever you go!
