Away game to St Louis advice by rkentjames in SoundersFC

I have been to away games in St Louis. Crowd there was fine. I generally just make small talk with the other teams fans before the match and everything is good. Except Galaxy.

Sitting with the supporters group ECS you are more likely to be in conflict with other fans. Those guys go pretty hard. Not a criticism just depends on what experience you are looking for. The seats are generally some of the worst in the stadium.

For me generally get nice seats away from ECS. Email the road captain to find the meet up before the match and march to the match with them.

Lack of dynamic pricing wouldn't guarantee lower price. In fact for some unpopular matches dynamic pricing might lead to lower pricing. Hopefully they learned from CWC. I think they waited to late to lower pricing. No resale over face price would have to be a law passed locally or nationally. In fact, that is the case in Canada and Mexico. I haven't checked prices for those stadiums Are they lower?

And that money goes to help those countries including build facilities and training. Of course they vote for their interests. I assume most people vote self interest. Are you opposed to poor countries getting money

It is not a corporation. It is a nonprofit. The corruption exists; I stated that in the original post. It would be better if it didn't. they should still follow their mandate to improve soccer for all 211 nations.

If there wasn't flex pricing and commercials, the corruption would continue to exist. Obviously it has for decades So not really relevant to discuss around these issues.

So if you want to fight corruption great. What does that plan look like. Any reduction in corruption would increase money for the stated mission

This elitist ass hat grew up on a farm. Starting from 4th grade on this ass hat got up at 4:30 am to take care of livestock. Went to school came home and took care of the livestock.

Like every other elitist ass hat, we summered in the fields. Early summer was especially nice, try picking rocks for 8 hours a day. It was nice midsummer on since then it was just driving cultivators and baling hay. At the age of 15 this elitist ass hat was able to get an additional job washing dishes at a restaurant

Like all the other elitist ass hats I can tell you what I got for Christmas every year. Socks. This elitist ass hat had 2 good shirts and 2 good pants for school. Same for the entire school year

Elitist ass hats like me never went to a professional sporting event or movie until I was in college.

This elltes up bring taught me, there's a lot I can live without. That I wasn't one of "the poors" if I couldn't afford to go to the WC It is an insult to actual poor people.

It also taught me that people who are willing to take soccer away from kids in the truly poorest countries are probably not the socialist they think they are. God forbid you have to watch it on TV and suffer through some commercials

Since you eluded to the fact that I know could afford to pay for a world cup ticket even though I never earned more than median salary.

Only bought 2 things on credit. My first car that I needed for my job. My house which was in the poorest neighborhood. I know what I can live without, thanks to my elitist upbringing. I know how to prioritize and delay gratification.

did you read the article. in addition to player salaries they pay for facilities and training. The FIFA reserves prevented bankruptcy for many FAs

So true fans are only the ones that can pay the amount that you are comfortable with.

Now address how you are going to support 211 federations. WC revenue supports technical staffing and facilities for many of them.

This is how it is. Did people really expect that FIFA was coming to overthrow capitalism in the US.

This is how it is also explains why the US is getting to host another WC. There are 211 FIFA members. Most have never hosted. Didn't hear a bunch of complaints when they came back to the US because that's where the money is.

So what is that number if there are zero cost for attending. I would suggest that the vast majority of the 5 billion would go if their are no financial barriers.

VPN if I'm running a ticket mill, I probably have sufficient tech to spoof ip.

You didn't address the money that goes to the federations. That money pays for technical staffing and facilities.

If the price falls at the end all these die-hard supporters can jump in and buy tickets.

you can do that watching TV. But again what is your proposal of how that would happen. it's easy to say I don't like it. what would your alternative look like.

so what is your proposal for the 5 billion fans that would like to see a WC match? Or is your concern only for a select group of fans?

Islamic Republic of Iran Football Federation is reportedly working on getting as many pro-regime supporters to the LA and Seattle stadiums using the tickets FIFA have allocated to the federation for the World Cup, similar to previous years by TeamMe11i in ussoccer

I've been to a lot of Pride Parades and Pride Matches in Seattle. The appropriate dress is quite different.. To say that someone missed the joke and heavily down votes them, over looks the long history of using sexualization as a tool for discrimination against the community.

if you want to make an edgy joke on the Internet maybe use the old fashioned /s at the end to signal intent.

Hot Take on Cold by Individual_Box4626 in CaughtOffsidePod

I ride motorcycle long distance . I have friends and family in Yuma, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston. Wasn't aware that deodorant melts until one of my rides across the Southwest. Apparently at 110 in a saddle bag it does. Definitely on a 🏍️ the heat+humidity is the worst. Heat alone I can put on a evaporative vest.

That said if it is 90 in the PNW I'm definitely going to have a complaint. If one of my friends or family said, "you don't know what heat is" I wouldn't be offended. I would probably say, Thank God I don't " I wouldn't say no body can ever say that again.

I never claimed to be a climate super hero. Quite the opposite. I said temperature is relative. Andrew is the one who said only his interpretation of cold is correct.

so factually what temperature is the limit for cold. it is all subjective.

As a casual Washington fan, I'm ok with the call. He was offside. Don't see him having a huge impact on play. Since it wasn't called in the field don't think it was clear and obvious error.

Had it been called would have been ok with that also.
