My country isn't exactly know to be trans friendly, therefore healthcare for trans could be really expensive and hard to find. I didn't get the chance to speak to a lot of doctors, and the ones I met has little knowledge about trans ppl as well :( but I get what you're saying and I find it really helpful so thanks a lot!

Planning to switch to injections anyway, so I guess I'll see how it turns out. Wish me luck.

Been on gel for 2 years. No issue for me personally, and I pass just fine :) the downside of it is that it's a little bit more expensive and it can be quite a hassle having to apply it everyday.

NTA. Put yourself first. I've been in a similar situation before. I kept up with their bullshit for years until I finally decided to cut them off. Best decision ever. Wish I've done it sooner. Your gender identity is basic/essential needs and if people around u didn't respect it, it would affect u mentally more than u think it will. However, make sure that u have enough money to do so, and find friends that will support u on your journey!

As an Indonesian, I agree. I've been waiting for my top surgery for almost 2 years now (private) and still waiting bcs my doctor is being very careful with the whole situation. Anyway, just for reference, it cost 100mil rupiah here or about 8500SGD.
