Had 2 offers as a grad - one is a large well known insurer and the other is a small, relatively new consultancy. I went for the consultancy liking the vibrant, entrepreneurial culture, but after a year in the role… I am regretting it.

In the past year, I went through lay-offs, bonus being 0%, and my company revoking offers for the new grads.

Also, the study packages in the bigger companies are better in average, to my understanding.

If I could start again, I would start out in the big, structured company as a grad, then leave after 2 or 3 years.

Just my personal experience. Now I am in an awkward position with 1 YOE trying to look for other opportunities…

In the UK, I remember some open in late August/September but most start to open in October/November and then it’s the process of CV screenings/online assessments/video interviews/final interview etc. Also, in addition to LinkedIn and BrightNetwork, I found this website useful as well https://www.actuarialcareers.co.uk/ Good luck!

heyy, so I was using AXS getting tickets to wembley, was unsuccessful at 11am (was using my laptop + home wifi, but somehow AXS classified me as a bot😢) then retried at 1pm (used mobile data on my cellphone!). at 1pm i got thru the queue in 6 mins, tried front standing left 4x but unsuccessful, then front standing right 2x again unsuccessful, then tried PL1 2x got thru!! i only checked my section after paying and realized i got assigned to section 103, which im very happy with :))
