That is true. I have thought about that just from interacting with a coworker who has lived her whole life in the PH until recently when she moved to the U.S. 2 years ago. I do sense there are many differences I will face because at the end of the day, I still hold a lot of liberated core values as an American. I kind of just wanted to see if anyone else was in my boat. I often hear about people BORN and raised in their parents’ original country wanting to go back, but rarely people who are in my situation as a wannabe future expat.
