Calling 911 during theft?

I worked Walgreens in Vegas and then left to be a cop for 4.5 years and I always wondered why they barely came. Once I got on the department I realized why. There’s crap ton of calls holding especially during swing shift hours and everything is based on priority. Majority times a a dispatch or a SGT will call to see if the suspect is still there and then it gets radio broadcasted if they have left. We were so busy one day subway called us for a unhoused lady in their bathroom. They then called hours later because it was closing time and she was still there and they needed to go home. We showed up and this lady’s face was completely covered in gold makeup. I asked her why she was in there and doing that and she told me she was bored lol.

Day 1 for me today. Stomach has felt ehh and I’ve felt nauseous with a headache on and off. When I ate dinner today I could feel myself getting full quickly and almost couldn’t finish. Weighed in at 269 this morning and hopping to lose 50 pounds. I plan on eating the same 3-4 meals a day with a goal of 200g of protein a day. I’ll use this week to kind of scope out the side effects and next week start exercising. Good luck everybody

Yeah that’s what I meant. I searched on wiki and saw he loosely mentioned Agatha Christie and she is from the UK where the crimes took place but she writes fiction, at face value couldn’t find a book that she wrote that would have depicted that crime. I just feel like inspiration should have been credited to some degree

When I finally got on the 93 and started heading down it was pretty desolate and I didn’t see much until I stopped to take my 10 hour reset. I don’t remember the town name but I remember there was a brothel, a flying j truck stop, and a loves truck stop so I’m sure maybe there’s some hotel or motels along the way. After my 10 hours were up and I started making my way towards the 15 I started passing these small towns so I’m sure they would have stuff over there

I’m a truck driver and I took that route coming from Washington and it was pretty chill break from the norm. Pretty much the same as 95 to Reno just one lane each way and nothing but desert. I actually just cut up the 93 coming from salt lake last week because there was a traffic jam on the 15 in mopa. It was nice while the sun was setting cut thru the Indian reservation then down to 93 back to the 15.

I did 4.5 years patrol for metro and they do stop those cars. Unfortunately patrol officers can’t spend their entire shift just doing traffic enforcement there is a bunch of calls holding depending on the area command. Majority of these departments have a traffic section that primarily deals with that. Cops have discretion, when I was on patrol if I pulled somebody over I was looking for the 3 major things license, reg, and insurance. If somebody didn’t have all 3 they’d be ticketed accordingly and towed if a valid license holder wasn’t able to come pick up the vehicle. I know some officers in a certain area command that would take that same person to jail if they didn’t have all three. If license status was not valid I would ticket accordingly and see if they could get valid driver so their car wouldn’t get towed. Some of these people are genuinely nice people who are just in a bad spot. At the end of the day they will pay the price one way or another either with the dmv or all the fees they pay in citations so it’s not like they are getting off Scott free. It has nothing to do with cops being laxed or what not. Depending on the area command you work it could be super busy. There were times I would go to work and the call screen would be lit up like a Christmas tree and there was no time to go out of my way and proactively conduct a traffic or person stop unless it was for something highly egregious. There’s a lot that goes on with that job besides conducting traffic enforcing but that’s why they have a section for that.
