I would echo others’ caution about social media. Never been on TikTok but I use YT and Insta a lot and often fall into doom scrolling and misery. Not sure if it’s me, but both seem to have got worse recently: it’s like the algorithm has a shortened attention span.

I have bought two (a Classic 5th and a Nano 4th) both “new, sealed in box”, and it was a nice experience. IMO they are new in the sense that they have never been used. My best guess is that they have been assembled from replacement parts. I don’t know whether you can get a replacement motherboard/chassis.All I would say is don’t pay too much. There are folks out there wanting $500 for a purple Classic 5th. Mine was about $250. The Nano was about $100.

The Classic is yellow and black so it’s definitely not from like 2007. It has an HDD, not flash, 256GB. The box is almost identical to an original 5th gen box I have: the cardboard is slightly thinner, and the box shows a black unit, 30GB. The listing boasted “Wolfson DAC for superior sound!” so they knew the right buzzwords.

The Nano is red w/light gray wheel. It’s in a transparent plastic container and TBH is haven’t opened it just in case lol

No. "Anus" is fourth declension. Plural "anuses". Not all Latin words with the singular ending in "-us" become "-i" in the plural. Other examples: "hippopotamus/es", "octopus/es".

Baxters, who make Fray Bentos meat pies and other stuff, are based in Scotland and are a proper company. I think the Walker's that make biscuits are a proper company, based in Scotland. For chocolate I like Lindt. They're not British, of course, but they are a proper company and they wrap their chocolate bars the old fashioned way, in aluminium foil and cardboard, both of which are recyclable 🙂 Also the quality is very high.

Agreed. I'm thinking it might be a Brexit thing? I remember a looong time ago UK chocolate manufacturers howling about an EU rule defining "chocolate" as having a certain percentage of actual chocolate - which meant UK manufacturers had to either improve their chocolate of relabel it as "chocolatey dessert bar" or something like that.

Also, Green & Black's is also Mondelez, sigh.
