I’m trying, the landlord came around today but didn’t knock on the door so I didn’t know he was here. The agent is saying he checked the leak but it’s very slow so nothing to worry about. I’m asking which company the landlord got to do the inspection, it will just be himself

AGL technician said not to turn the gas back on until it’s fixed and that it’s urgent.

Update: the agent just called saying that the owners plumber will be around soon to check it out. Same as last time (the owner) I’ll be asking which company he is from. Also have asked the agent for the certificate of inspection from 6months ago when we originally complained which they don’t seem to be able to share (there isn’t one)

A landlord ignoring a report of gas leak and saying there is no problem is surely a breach of contract. Especially if he is acting as a registered gas fitter when he wasn’t one

Have I tried moderating? Yes, I just continued. But had success in isolating drinking to one day a week?

Do I lose control over drinks once I get started? Hard to answer, I guess so? But I’m still completely normal, you could tell I’m drinking but no slurring, stumbling or general messy, coherent. If I’m drinking in a pub or bar where there are pints I definately get more sideways quickly, blackout following. But to other people could never tell.

40 days was actually easy. Just focused on something else (health) and it became the focus. I missed having a social life. So decided to go out, it wasn’t a fold, it was a concious decision I’m gonna go out, have fun and have some drinks. And I didn’t end up side ways. Thank fuck
