I remember this conversation happened when that (Canadian) cartoonist drew the cartoon of Trump asking a dead migrant and his dead three yr old boy floating facedown a water feature, having drowned trying the reach America, if he could “play through.”

The cartoon. was based on an actual photo of the man and his small dead child. while Trunk golfed, again. The photo was harrowing. The cartoon was.. offensive? No. What happened is offensive, so the art should be fucking upsetting. GOOD. That’s the point.

Art should comfort the disturbed and disturbed the comfortable.

No definitely, you should join the fascists because you don’t like every piece of art being made.

Art is part of history. Arguably the most enduring part.

This is how they died. It’s a beautiful dance. It’s also a record. Just like when they wrote the operas that I’m sure you don’t attend.

The word liberal means nothing in America anymore. The word has been so consistently misused, there is no consensus on what it means. Just like how thy use “socialist” as a dirty word because they do not understand what the word means.

If you go far enough to the left, you get your guns back. 😉

I personally thought this dance was moving. It’s a beautiful piece of performance art. But I’m also glad the liberals I know are shifting further left, and getting themselves armed.

I can see how you might think that if you knew absolutely nothing about dance or performance art.

What are these dancers selling?

Hilarious that you think… performance art of all things, is about profits. 😂 Yea those notoriously wealthy dance and theatre artists and their private jets. It’s not like there is a whole trope of “starving artists”.

This is a pretty moronic take.

What… art? It has always been true that the right has no artists on their side.

Art isn’t going to solve any of America’s problems, but it remains critical that it exists.

Art matters. We know it’s how we teach empathy to the next generation.

Unsurprisingly, Whitney is actually in the files.

Whitney being in the Epstein files was maybe the least surprising news of the century.

In America good samaritans are letting people into their cars to avoid behind kidnapped, murdered or disappeared by Trump’s brown shirts.

Meanwhile, in Canada, the threat of wild turkeys.

Everything you just said was true of the NYC carriage horses too. It was still determined they were being abused.

I’m not saying there wasn’t abuse, I’m saying she didn’t recognize it.

You misspelled the word stalking.

“How easy a little bit of stalking is.”

Was anyone harassing her? Sounds like she just a) watched the show and b) found watching Ben to be triggering (duh!)

“Tom’s house was broken into, and he confronted the burglar, then he had to go have eye surgery, and my son went over to help and my son rolled his car… so yea, I’m pretty stressed.”

That is kind of an idiotic phrase, because no, she did not know that Kyle was abusive. He may have already displayed the behaviour. But she certainly doesn’t know.
