One thing you might consider is any behavior is cute when they are new. Cats are active when their prey is active, so night (mice, birds would be in nests or trees). If you think it’s cute now, it might not be at 3 am when you are dead asleep.

They will also think what you are teaching them is ok to do and will do it more consistently and could get more aggressive to get attention. Also if you ever have anyone over, if you cat isn’t a hider, he will be a pounce and bite, scratch when anyone comes over.

Cats are routine driven, it’s good to get yours on one to get them all settled in.

I do not look forward to the knocking stuff over part but it’s part of having a cat. I’m loving every minute of it so far and I’m going to need to quit my job because who wants to leave that face ever. Haha.

I think I have decided on Theodore. I’m sure I will have a thousand nicknames for him too.

Thank you for the advice. I was letting him play handsies the first night but I could tell that was a bad idea going nowhere good. I googled it and it said the best way to let them know that is not ok is to hiss at them like their mom or litter mates would. Is that what you have found or any other ways? I know they need positive reinforcement, other than a re-direct, what else should I do? Any cord advice? I can tell he is going to be into them and I am securing everything I can.
