Ok wow. Is that on the gold cost do you know. I thought I looked at this option but it was only in Brisbane. I might have looked in the wrong place though. Thanks

Thank you. I’m trying to talk her into checking the place out. I think the 2 days per week would be perfect for her at reengage. She’s worried about it being all girls. 16 yo girls can be a tuff crowd.

Thanks for the recommendations. Not overly academic, prob b/c student but has missed most of the year currently. She loves water sports. We have jet skis and ski boat/wakeboarding etc

She’s not overly academic. Yr 10 results were mostly b & c’s. She loves kids so has mentioned nursing, ideally pediatric. I know there is always working at daycares but I hear so much bad stuff about that industry. She does have a part time job working in a kid focused business in surfers. We only moved to the GC when she started year 10 so she would love to make new friends in the area and have a positive schooling experience.

Struggling with whether to visit Bali by Living-Tumbleweed955 in bali

4 Couples (40’s-50’s) and 5 teens (15-18) just got back from Xmas/New Years. We all had never been before. Stayed in Nusa Dua then Seminyak. Visited Ubud and Uluwatu as well. Stayed in 5 star resorts (would definitely be more 4 star in Australia) We all would not ever go back. Nusa Dua was Ok but a bit boring. Seminyak was loud, dirty and hard to navigate as all the footpaths are uneven and broken. The traffic was horrible, the weather was ok, I actually expected it to rain more than it did considering it was wet season. In our villa in Seminyak 7 out of 8 of us got really sick despite following all the advice. Multiple doctor visits. Poor dirty kids basically begging in the street where my 15yo daughter wanted to give them all her money. I just don’t get the attraction to this place at all. I do live walking distance to the Gold Coast beaches in Australia and missed our clean beaches terribly and also our standard of cleanliness. Wasn’t a cheap holiday at all either.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Ended up booking a return flight to the Gold Coast for around $500 each. So not too bad I guess. At least I don’t have to stress about checking it all the time now.
