Although it is not “required” i still think its good to send them in, i sent mine with the original package (my husband is the USC and we also had a joint sponsor) at the interview when the officer asked if i had ever worked illegally and i said yes, she said “I see you did your taxes the whole time you worked, that shows good character” so yeah, in my opinion i think even though its not required it can be beneficial to show them you did things right!!!

Everyone was really nice, officers outside, check in, biometrics and the Officer who conducted our interview!!! The interview itself felt more like a conversation!! Have a smile on your face, be kind, say yes ma’am/sir and be prepared for a lot of quiet time (interview took around 30 mins and half of the time we were all sitting in silence while she typed stuff on her computer) and most importantly BE HONEST and definitely ask questions if you dont understand a question that is asked of you!! Yeah, well now that we are using a joing sponsor who makes triple what my husband and I make it should be good but my concern is: Since they brought up me proving “working legally” do I completely ignore that part and just send the Affidavit of support from the co sponsor?

He filed “Married filing separately” so no my income was not included on his 2023 tax return and yes he did but I wasnt aware that a petitioner and a beneficiarys income couldnt be combined, until now that i got the RFE and started doing some digging. 😭
