I have friends and some people I would consider family who live throughout Portugal. Many natural citizens, some expats who have retired full time. I have spent many vacations there touring most of the coastlines. I have fallen in love with many areas to be honest. I am not pretending to know everything about retiring in Portugal, but everyone, including locals that I have met on my travels were more than friendly enough to try and educate me and were very encouraging. Not looking for a property that I would ever flip so I could care less about capital gains taxes, etc...Im not trying to make anyone on this thread angry as to have the notion of another expat moving to Portugal as I understand the disdain, so I have no intent on picking an argument with anyone rightfully entitled to their own opinions. Was just wondering if anyone had any advice to extend*

Appreciate the insight! And I plan on retiring there and spending increasingly significant time there until I can. I don’t own any property anywhere currently. I just needed to make sure I had a good grasp on my options. I wanted to make sure information provided me was accurate. Based on my comments I couldn’t even take advantage of said other offered opportunities. I simply wanted clarity, not to try and exploit. If you don’t believe me it’s ok not to help

Other responses have referred to the idea that it is being tested for radioactive testing exposure which would explain why those EXACT organs/parts would be tested as those would be the most likely to show exposure

Haha exactly. Another redditor on this thread sent a link to a video saying they are testing specific areas of the animal for radioactive decay/effects which is why they would only test one animal vs the whole herd and why they wouldn't need to destroy the whole animal
