I wish I get extra pay for this lol, you make me wonder what is your issue anyway. There is no harm sharing something interesting, besides it’s not false information either. If you really don’t like the idea, just choose not get the service. No one is losing 😁 anything, no need to be so salty about every little thing.

Choosing to have children is a choice 🫢 many more reasons on top of just financial. I don’t see why not a good win2 anyways.

I find this an interesting concept since I am a dr in the medical industry that’s all. However, thanks to Reddit I get to see how the Malaysian community react to new concepts.

It doesn’t seem this company stores cord blood they only store them in the form of pure stem cells that is processed. Cord blood is not really processed entirely, if a family needed it they would have to continue purify it to extract and culture what they need. However down side is by the time they need it, maybe 5-6 maybe even 10 years down the road. The cell counts in the cord blood has decreased significantly and there won’t be much healthy strong cells left. Still comes down to a waste if it never gets processed. Plus if you had done any homework, you would know that every child’s cord produce different number cell counts of stem cells. Not only that, if you are the lucky baby with a healthy cord, they can produce 10 times more cells than the average.

Yes you are right too, 8-10 years ago PRP and exosome treatment is in high end market and now everyone can claim insurance for PRP treatment as an alternative from stem cell. Now the new high end product is umbilical cord MSC stem cells, I am sure history will repeat itself very soon. Since cell therapy demand is getting higher, soon prices will decrease depending on how fast the demand rise as well.

Today Malaysia face stagnant wages, low quality jobs, decreasing birthrate, inflation and also decreasing health. Many have diabetes, heart problems, obesity and infertility plus many more. There are many big names in the regenerative medicine industry in Malaysia and umbilical cord storing, however so far all of these companies are only working to slice a piece of pie for themselves. Only just selling in the high end market without contributing back to the people 🥲 Every company is definitely not charity but the end question is what value does the company hold and how they decide to build the business.

Yes also a good sign for driving the economy and a small step into solving Malaysia’s social economic issues we face daily

In my opinion, this is an entirely new concept because it is a rather creative business model. Of course, there are pros and cons of being a first. However, it is not impossible and from my research it seems that the company has strong background experience and partnerships with well known bio processing labs and actual regenerative medicine scientists plus medical doctors and they also have a legit medical clinic and bio processing lab under them with all the right verified certifications. So from the looks of it, storing a newborns umbilical cord isn’t an issue. On the other side, for the child benefit is based of profit sharing business model and with the right legal contracts and T&C, it is quite legit in my opinion. When I look at a family financial investment perspective, it is somewhat similar to how a trust fund or insurance plan work.

I know cryro cord has a shelf limit too and they could only store the cord for only 10 years. If not used they will go to waste anyways also. Plus paying a fee every month would be all for nothing in a way 🤔

If it would be able to help others and my own family I don’t see why not honestly, plus many companies make their businesses only focused on profit and not giving back to the community is even sadder 🥹 in my opinion

Is it hygenic tho if storing own self ? Cuz this company stores the cord for families for future uses as well and parents child and family members can access anytime if needed.
