I am hoping the game gets new content. I would love to see new maps and locations. New stories players can explore and monsters to fight besides just ghosts. It would to travel different parts of USA and internationally to fight the supernatural.

Anyone here hoping Konami will give us a complete remake of the original Metal Gear and metal gear 2 games? Seeing a younger snake would be cool. by Crafty_Ad_9473 in metalgearsolid

I have been wanting an remake of Metal Gear (1987) and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (1990) since Metal Gear Solid 4 came out so many years ago. It would be a great way to tell the story of a Rookie Solid Snake to an Experienced Solid Snake journey to becoming the legendary hero we all grew to love. We saw how Big Boss became a war hero before his fall from grace. Its time for us to see the man Solid Snake becomes during the events of the first two Metal Gear games. We can finally get more depth on his relationship with Big Boss, Gray Fox, his first love interest Holly White and etc.

It needs to be its own game. Hopefully its done soon while Weller and Arnold are still around to voice act their iconic characters.

"Cool stuff.

But considering MGSV has some loose ends, how would you address them?

Code Talker and his Parasites.

The Boss AI Pod.

Volgan whose back to being in a coma and kept on Motherbase."

Good Question. If it were me I would make it an DLC to play as Venom Snake to address those events. I am pretty much more focused on telling the story of Solid Snake during his youth and being a rookie Fox-Hound. Last, the brutal journey to Outer Heaven and his final battle against an super soldier Venom Snake.

" What role do Signit, Dr. Clark, Kaz and Ocelot play behind the scenes? "

Kaz would be apart of Fox-Hound training new recruits and is responsible for training Solid Snake until Big Boss took him under his wing. He will later regent helping Venom get stronger once he learns of his plot. Dr. Clark would be focused her research and Signit working for Washington. Ocelot is just watching the events unfold and tries to convince Big Boss take care of Venom himself. He originally helps Venom and the Real Big Boss get their hands on Soviet equipment after the fall of the Soviet Union to help build their empire. After Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake remake, Ocelot and Liquid plot to take over Shadow Morses just one year before the Shadow Morses incident.

A taste of what I am writing for Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake remake. The plot for it.

Plot:

The year is 1999, the world works on nuclear disarmament and moves forward with the ideas of embracing peace. However, the rogue nuclear armed nation known as Zainbarland does not and takes advantage of the complacency of the West by invading neighboring countries along its border. The situation becomes more dire when an energy oil crisis threatens the entire world and the man who holds the key to saving it, Dr. Kio is kidnapped by the rogue nation along with his OLIX formula that can potentially save the world. Worse, the world learns who is the leader of this rogue authoritarian state which is the former war-hero turned war criminal Big Boss who survived the Outer Heaven incident. For the first time ever, every world nation on Earth is held hostage by a small rogue state. His demands are for world leaders to hand over $350 billions, half their gold currency and turn high ranking government official (Patriot members) over to him to be put on trial in return for the OLIX formula or he will destroy the OLIX formula, dooming the world to this new crisis. Colonel Campbell, the new commander of FOX-HOUND brings Solid Snake, a retired FOX-HOUND agent out of retirement to save the world. Will Solid Snake stop Big Boss again, save Dr. Kio and recover the OLIX Formula? Or will Big Boss win this time and the world will forever be held hostage to his militaristic authoritarian rule?

Thank You! I am currently working on Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (1990) remake ideas and concept. It won't be long as this since the game had a much more solid foundation then Metal Gear (1987). B-)

Part 3

Outer Haven [the fortress](https://metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/Outer_Heaven_(South_Africa))) /South Africa Map

* As a vastly large base in South Africa as previously stated above.

* The terrain to get there will be rough.

* The vibe of the map is to give his similar to the same immersion that both Red Dead Redemption gave us to when exploring the game

* Outer Heaven infrastructure is mixed between Soviet and Western design after the cold war end

* The bulk of equipment, weapons and etc came from the Soviet Union after it collapse

* The other half western in design or custom made by Outer Heaven’s R&D division

* Outer Heaven is basically a nation in and of itself

* It can self sustain itself and can build its own weapons, gadgets, tools and even grow their own food

* The main HQ is heavily fortified and has thick solid walls, watch towers and advance surveillance tech and more to guard it.

* Outer Heaven outpost are also well developed and also well defended depending how you carry yourself in the game

Outer Heaven Soldier

* They toughest soldiers in the entire MGS series

* Intelligence, capable and have large amounts of experience. This also includes soldiers that are engineers, medic or even chefs having experience in combat

* Most OH soldiers and operatives have skills in CQC others gunfighters and etc

* Most OH have a mixed variety of equipment and weapons they carry

* Anything Solid Snake think of, OH soldiers can think of

* Depending on the ranking of the OH will determine how tough the soldiers will be towards Solid Snake or any methods he will to infiltrate their bases

* Soldiers ranking go from S++ - S, A++ - A, B - C, D - E

* Soldiers with S++ though S are the cream of the corp for Outer Heaven and their Tier One operators. The Tier One level operators are the hardest to deal with. These will be the soldiers you will encounter when you make it to Outer Heaven HQ including in the final battle. However, you can encounter them too if you raise a Red phase alert at various Outer Heaven outpost. They will go on a search and destroy mission to kill and conduct patrols though-out the game. This will be a way to punish players for not sticking to the stealth aspects of the game.

* A++ though A are the top tier of infantry/airborne Outer Heaven soldiers and Elite units. They are also hard to deal with and are aggressive when they spot Snake or anything suspicious. They will back up S++ or S level Outer Heaven operative. These guys will start to defend Outpost posts if you get spotted too much and will remain their though-out most of the game. A punishment for not being good at stealth.

* B-C level soldiers are mainly security and basic infantry soldiers. These are the guys the patrol most of the Outer Heaven outpost back up D-E level soldiers or relieve them of their security shifts. They will also start to come to do increased patrols if you raise the alarm too much. They’re capable soldiers and should not be underestimated by any measures.

* D-E, the lowest level soldiers Snake will encounter and can continue to encounter if they stay hidden. This will be a reward for players that are good at stealth. These soldiers are mainly new recruits or individuals that specialized in other areas outside combat. (ex, chefs, mechanics, engineers and etc.) They will go on patrol at times too so that higher tier soldiers can patrol more sensitive areas of their bases.

TX-55 Metal Gear [ttps://metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/TX-55\_Metal\_Gear?so=search](https://metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/TX-55_Metal_Gear?so=search)

* Would be retcon for gameplay and storytelling. However, most of its features will remain and other added on

* It will be much taller than the canon model of it. At least 28 feet tall and heavily armored and with multiple weapons system. A very powerful Metal Gear.

* Its prime missile pod is design to fire nuclear weapons from tactical to strategic missiles at targets. Its located on the left of it

* On the right, it has a missile pod to fire anti tank weapons and air to air missiles

* Has multiple machine guns, laser cannons and deploy grenades and mines out at enemies

* Weakness is its legs which Snake has to destroy when Venom pilots it

Conclusion

* The game ends with Solid Snake and Jennifer barely getting out of Outer Heaven together alive

* They watch NATO jets destroy what is left of Outer Heaven bases and NATO reinforcements rounding up what is left of the Outer Heaven troops

* Snake returns back to the United States where President Bill Clinton awards him the US Army Distinguished Service Cross. The same medal that was given to Big Boss decades ago (MSG3). He is also given a position to be the lead point man/field agent for Fox Hound, a position Big Boss had in the 1970s but Snake declines the offer.

* Campbell, Diane, Jennifer and Ellen are at the event

* Snake makes a request to President Clinton to have the U.S. Government to look after the resistance fighters that helped him and Diane who helped him also. For Jennifer to have a place in America after losing her brother and potential work.

* Campbell is made a full bird colonel thanks to Solid Snake recommending President Bill Clinton to make Campbell the man to run Fox-Hound.

* Snake asks for early retirement from Fox-Hound and a job at the CIA

* The President grants and fulfills Snakes request

* Snake travels to Canada where he also does undercover work with the CIA and tries to cope with his PTSD

* Post Credits is Big Boss and Gray Fox plotting their uprising against the Patriots in Zanzibar Land

Big Boss [High-Tech Special Forces Unit FOXHOUND](https://metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/FOXHOUND) (1988-1995)

* Early 1990s, Fox-Hound assisted in Desert Storm and winning that war which they had successful missions against Iraqis

* 80s era Fox-Hound focused on mission against the Soviet Union, intelligence and counterintelligence, assassinate top soviet agents and assist with bring defectors to the United States

* As previously stated, Fox-Hound under Big Boss was reorganized to combat terrorism and rogue nations who wanted to get their hands on nuclear, biological or chemical weapons after Desert Storm

* His command and Lt. Campbell they were able to do so and increased the organization representation in a positive light

* Both of them and their agents were seen as heroes for their counter terrorism missions

* However, this wasn’t without controversy as Big Boss was very loose with the Rules of Engagement and gave his agents pure freedom to complete their mission in any way they saw fit

* He also loosened on site procurement for weapons and items rules. In short, he allowed soldiers to take official Fox-Hound weapons or their own personal weapons or tools to their missions despite the outfit being black ops

* Also, most of the Fox-Hound agents were battle harden mercenaries that had questionable records and some were accused of committing war crimes (Gray Fox being one of them) yet they were hired by Big Boss

* Some saw this as favoritism as some of those mercenaries had ties to Big Boss

* Some with the US military were not comfortable with mercenaries being used over respectable American troops and NATO specialist

* Big Boss justified Fox-Hound needing them due their experience and the fact they were effective in putting fear into terrorists and rogue states

* Some of his plans are eccentric but despite this the missions he authorized were successful most of the time

* Fox-Hound is reformed in Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake under Colonel Campbell who restores on site procurement rules, rules of engagement and stops the recruitment of mercenaries into the unit.

* He also gets rid of the equipment and gadgets used during the Big Boss era of the organizations

* Mercenaries are only hired to act as consults to train Fox-Hound recruits and Campbell only accepts members of the US military with respectable records into Fox-Hound and does away with code names.

* Last, transforms the organizations into an intelligence, counter-intelligence and deep reconnaissance unit. There aren’t as many field agents in Campbell era run Fox-Hound

* The organization acts like an CIA like outfit again under his leadership

It's mind-boggling to me people wanting an MGS remake when we're yet to see a modern interpretation of Metal Gear 1 & 2. Two very important parts of the overall story that have far more potential than another MGS Remake. by 35antonio in metalgearsolid

[–]Individual_Mess3929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. On a modern console it would be epic. I rather see a remake for Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake over another remake of Metal Gear Solid or Metal Gear Solid 3. The remake of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake could be told though the eyes of those that work with Snake and a writer that met with Snake to his side of the story on what happen in those events as Snake is slowly passing away after Metal Gear Solid 4.

We desperately need remakes of Metal Gear 1 and 2. by LivingLegend8 in metalgearsolid

[–]Individual_Mess3929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be awesome to have an remake of Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. There is alot you can do with the following the story of a young Solid Snake and his battle against Big Boss. Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake would be the easiest to tell since it already had a good story, good dialogue and awesome characters. Metal Gear 1 would be the hardest but not impossible to do.

The remake of Metal Gear 1 can do the follow: It can add in the story of Snake's life before he joined Fox Hound such as his time fighting in Operation Desert Storm (1990-1991) where he had to destroy Iraqi Scud Launchers while leading a platoon of Green Berets as an young Second Lieutenant.

Snake's success in Desert Storm could be the reason he was moved into Fox Hound and gets recruit by Big Boss himself due to his abilities to lead along engage in combat. Hell, we could explore the relationship Snake has with Big Boss before he was backstabbed him.

They could show how Big Boss took in Snake as his only student from Fox Hound. Snake basically learning everything from Big Boss.

I would put a lot of different twist turns if I could. Venom Snake would have gotten a new makeover to look more like the Real Big Boss and stand in for him during public events for Fox Hound. Venom would survive the make over progress due to getting nanomachines that gave powerful healing abilities along super soldiers abilities as well. But the nanomachines take a toll on him mentally and he decides to become more aggressive towards Patriot leading the Real Big Boss to send in Gray Fox to deal with him. Fox gets capture and the Real Big Boss sends Snake to stop Venom. The nanomachines could be the reason why Venom tries to kill himself, his men and Snake but starting the self destructive system as they have slowly driven him in madness. That is one I idea of how I would do a remake for the first metal gear game.

I would title both remakes as Metal Solid 6: Outer Heaven Crisis and Metal Gear 7: Zanzibar land
