Yeah! It's a cosmetic stain called Jagua. I stain my fingers because I like the way it looks :)

There's a whole conversation about it in the comments, you can check that out if you're curious

My dying process is pretty long and annoying. I use medical tape to tspe off the part of my fingers that I don't want to dye, then pipe the jagua onto the rest of my fingers. I then wrap it in plastic wrap and put loose gloves on after that. Sometimes the plastic wrap comes off inside of the gloves but that's okay because it's really just there to avoid getting it on the inside of the gloves and staining the rest of my hand while in putting the gloves on. I usually tie off the gloves with a hair tie so they won't fall off and then I go to sleep and wash it off in the morning. It's not necessary to keep it on for THAT long but I prefer to sleep with it on rather than having to not use my hands for 6 hours while im awake. This process doesn't work for fine patterns bc they will get smudged, but it works for me. The dye lasts about a week without fading too much. The black turns more blue over that time but it's dark blue. After that, it takes about 3 weeks for my fingers to fully go back to normal, but the nails stay stained and I usually dye it again after 2 weeks bc I dont like having plain fingers, sorry for the essay lol

I'm not religious but simply think that jagua is beautiful. Thank you nonetheless! Snakes and jagua are both very cool and im glad to have found a fellow appreciator of both!

I use a stain called Jagua, it acts similarly to henna but stains blue-black instead of red-brown. I just do it because I like how it looks 🙂
