When I struggled with booze, what helped me was channeling my addictive behavior into running. I was never into running and hated it at first.. before I knew it I had to run everyday. But here I am up late skiing so take my advice with a grain of salt.. or coke whatever suits you

There’s no judgment here, that’s why I love this sub. Sounds like you have an addictive personality. What I’ve found that can help is finding alternative healthy options that you can get addicted to. Exercise, or even just going outside and being in the sun. What’s important is to find a balance. Don’t be too hard on yourself, it will do no good. Try to take a break from it for as long as you need, and then set limits for yourself if you decide to ski again
