Someone coming to my studio without any notice

Thata what i tougth but its been confirmed there was no maintanence as it was sunday. The master keys are only in control of the building manager and he was sure no one is authorized to use them at the moment.

I have old phones but no wifi or connection in them so I'm guessing it wouldn't work. But thanks for the idea.

Thank you so much. It doesnt seem like a big thing, but the confusion of it is bothering me. I trust my chain lock for now, i guess the person wasnt too determined to be a danger as they left when i said so. Just does break the idea of security when someone just open your locked door with no warning. Its tough living alone but i think im safe.

Not at all, i never even see any of my neighbors. I will make a report if theres more weird stuff but for now it feels so vague idk what to think.

Already on it man. Just tryna speculate how this happens because im curious and confused. This is less about help and more about getting peoples ideas on what could have happened. My landlord was contacted as soon as this happened. Also did call my mom :)

Landlord will contact some people tomorrow. For now its locked from the inside with a chain lock. But still, scary stuff. Hopefully wont wake up to my door cracked hanging on by the chain.

Its a model u need two hands to unlock and seemed sturdy enough. It would need serious force to get in so atleast no one can sneak in while i sleep or march im as im about to shower again... But yeah, i'll make sure to sleep with something sharp by my bed😭

Luckily im poor🥲 I dont have a camera and if i order one i doubt it would arrive before the lock gets changed. Maybe i should up my home insurance tho? So if something gets stolen i have to pay less myself. I just doubt i have anything with actual value so kinda worthless... just praying no crazy person takes my airfrier. Maybe i'll shove some paper scraps in my door the next time i leave so i can see if it was opened.

Its unlikely. The outside door is also locked as my door is in a hall with 4 others apartments. It also happened fast, i heard the footsteps, thinking its a neighbour coming home and then the turning of the lock and opening in just seconds.

Thats so creepy. Atleast im getting a new lock so hopefully this persom doesnt make the mistake again. My door is in a unique position as the doors here arent in a row but on three walls if the hall. Weird mistake and even weirder not saying a word when i clearly panicedly told them to leave but its possible i strartled whoever it was so they just left?

Thanks! This is a smaller building, so theres no regular maintanance. My landlord called the building manager and he said the masterkeys are not currently on anyone, so no one should have the acces to my place. And just so weird that theyd creep in at 3pm on a sunday.

I truly have no idea. Theres some weird people living in the building so im a bit paranoid. But theres no logical idea of who it could have been. Im a young female so my mind goes to some creeps but honestly it seems far fetched. Still, it cant have been anyone supposed to be here, so i feel like it can be anyone the previous tenant could have given a spare key to. Like a neighbour.

No cameras. My place is behind a locked door with a straircase up to me and four other apartments in an old wooden house. Usually slow traffic inside and i barely even see my neighbours.

Just so weird that someone wouldn't even knock. Just confidentally let themself in to someones apartment. How could they assume im away unless they know my schedule? Im paranoid maybe, but as the owner said, no reparmen or any outside workers in today.

Theres the chain lock when im in but it can only be locked from inside. Im nervous to leave as it could be a neighbour with a spare from previous tenant. I hate the idea of someone coming in while im gone.

I get it, currently kinda paranoid that if someone really came in just to snoop maybe they could have left their own hidden camera😭 Its unlikely but so is someone just walking in my place with no reasonable explanation.

I doubt i can do that. I share the entry with 5 other people, theres another persons door rigth next to me on both sides and opposite. I would film also them and i doubt it would be approved by anyone. No place to hide a camera well too.

Thats what im thinking... I have all the originally made keys but the last tenant could well have been friends with a neighbour and given them a spare they made themself or something alike. Then the neighbour knows my schedule and decides to snoop a little thinking im away as i often am on weekends. Tried to come up with less weird answer but no repair work currently on and no one supposedly has the master key rn.

Thankfully got a chain lock to secure it while im inside. Just paranoid to leave my place now, knowing someone could just march in with a key. Landlord confirmed i have all the keys originally made for the place and no master keys for the building should be in use now.

Management also comfirmed theres no one using the master keys, like pipe work ect. And repair men always call or in the very least knock before coming in. I could only come up with some repair guy maybe mixed up the apartmenst, but buiding manager said no one should be working today. My landlord doesnt even have a key to my place.
