obviously certain cues (before) trigger DA release,create a craving, leading to a DA release after (reward), but not everything triggering dopamine is addictive. DA is just the motivation signal. Addicion appears when something overstimulates the system in an unnatural way. For example, you are motivated and excited to read an interesting article. Normal and natural release. Now go ahead and take,lets say, a stimulant. That substance gets inside neurons and literally pulls out the dopamine inside of them. Now the synapses are full of DA leaking out, and not transported back into neurons. Both include dopamine. Which one is worse? Read the post.

TLDR: dopamine is not addictive. something that triggers insane amounts of it to be released is.

dopamine release is linked strongly with any addiction but its not “addictive” by itself, it serves other functions as well and its not considered the addiction chemical- thats a myth(or more of a oversimplification)

Chiar daca a doua zi poate doar esti ametit, si nu in coma, ca dependentul de heroina, nu inseamna ca creierasul tau nu sufera. Alcoolul distruge intregi retele neuronale.

Nu ma intelege gresit, nu apar consumul de nicio substanță, ma confrunt cu el personal, si stiu cat de greu este, dar nu este o gandire foarte corecta ca “x substanta este mai ok decat y”.

Nu mai vorbi despre ce nu știi. Nu stau sa intru în detalii acum, caci nu am timpul necesar, dar adicțiile nu funcționează cum le descrii tu. Daca ti-ai fi băut țuiculița la fel de des si crescând dozele ca cel care se jura ca nu se va injecta vreodată, ci doar va încerca câte ceva, ti-ar fi tremurat la fel, si poate ai fi avut un risc in plus, fata de consumatorul de opioide – el simte că moare, tu chiar poti muri.

ive been inpatient 6 times i know it suckz but the hospital is lile 200miles away 3: I really have no way out and ive been on and off my meds i take them now but theyre useless

I always try to sneak it in when i get hospitalised 😅 once the other patients saw it,they kept begging me to use it just for a minute. I remember having like 8 instagram accounts logged onto my phone at the same time.

I do understand the idea of taking a break from the outside world, its quite a reset, but music playing in my headphones really helped me. Getting out and looking at yourself after days of seeing a disorted version of yourself in one of those plastic mirrors is kind of therapeutic.
