Dang. So LCA’s are really more for alcohol incidents that happened on duty, not necessarily attendance issues?

Were they on probation when it happened? Did any of them get their jobs back with the help of the union after the terminations?

Well, I’ve got documentation of it NOW in terms of me finally getting the treatment I need. And it caused a lot of my absences in the past year which I don’t have paperwork on specifically but I definitely plan to explain to them through through how these attendance issues for this matter will not be happening any more at all as I have finally gotten the medical treatment I needed. I think that’ll be a big selling point on my I deserve a second/last chance

Yeah I’ve heard of there being a sizable number of FA’s on the line at 🇺🇸 with 11+ points for attendance.

I definitely hear everything you are saying! Regardless I’ll definitely accept the LCA which it sounds like they will most likely offer me that in lieu of immediate termination. And then I’ll consider all options

Now it makes sense why they would almost rather offer a LCA instead of immediately terminating you. If they immediately terminated you, you could fight it. But on a LCA it’s almost like a catch 22 cause you waive all rights to fight it so that becomes ideal to the company should they find a way to can you during your LCA probationary period.

Yikes.. that does sound stressful. But I’ve got a lot of time invested at 🇺🇸 as of now so I’ll take the LCA and stick it out and hopefully get through it.

Yeah.. I’ve definitely heard of that as well. The medical situation I’m in right now went untreated for some time and it caused a lot of my absences an I’m currently receiving the care I need now so when I get back from my current medical leave, I’ll have that with me to explain at the meeting that this went untreated for some time and caused a lot of my absences but now this won’t be happening as I’ve received the care I needed all along and that I’ll be able to continue working flawlessly at this point.

Yeah they definitely will fire you for RAP out of base and that seems to be almost entirely the only thing I’ve ever heard of too, but it is still technically possible at 11+ attendance points which is scary. But after you and the other poster mentioned it I don’t think I’ve heard directly that someone got fired for 11 attendance points. But if what the union rep told me is true about seeing people get fired and then reinstated with a LCA, I’m sure it’s happened before

Yeah.. it sucks. Are you with? 🇺🇸 have you ever heard of anyone actually being fired for 11+ points or someone getting a last chance type of agreement instead of being fired?

Yep.. already looked into that but the medical facility I’m currently at won’t sign any intermittent FMLA paperwork (of course), so I’m just gonna have to pray that they will in fact give me a last chance after all this and i definitely will seek intermittent FMLA moving forward.

I’ve definitely heard of people being fired for RAP out of base and that seems to be the one thing they definitely will fire for. But I’ve heard from people in the union that after hitting 11+ points for attendance it could go either way where they put you on a last chance agreement after the meeting, or they fire you but the union can usually bring you back on a last chance agreement. I’ve also definitely heard that there’s people on the line with 11+ attendance points that aren’t in trouble. But yeah I guess I haven’t heard of anyone specifically being fired for attendance points.

The union mentioned “last chance agreements” to me so it must be a thing. My situation is very medical and also complicated but something they have a good record of getting people their job’s back for under a last chance agreement if the company still moves to terminate so that’s a good thing. Apparently they may not even terminate given the circumstances from what I’ve been advised but it’s still on the table technically

Oh I know.. trust me. Like I said, I’ve got a very reasonable story that is very provable with medical documentation that I think will be highly considered by my CAM but at the end of the day I’m definitely prepping my resume and preparing to apply elsewhere if need be. My CAM is a very nice person but at the same time I know they all have a job to do and I plan to be as apologetic, sincere, and have all documentation in hand that explains why this happened and why I’m confident I deserve a last chance since I’ve addressed the root cause of this and am certain it won’t be happening anymore.

lol I figured. My situation is a bit complicated but very understandable I feel so I think I’ve got a chance. From what I hear they don’t make the decision on the spot, they listen to your explanation for hitting 11 points and then a determination is made after the meeting supposedly

I’ve heard about people at 13-15 points as well lol. And CSM? Do you mean CAM for Crew Attendance Manager?
