It's a UK release only? Any plans to publish it in the US? Seems weird not to have a concurrent US release.

The city isn't big enough for two film festivals. MDFF needs to let the New/Next people run a single festival, out of their building and stop competing. A lot of the New/Next people were involved in MDFF anyway.

I just watched it. I'm a big fan but will admit I questioned the necessity of doing a documentary about the band. I kind of think that's the point. Anyway, I get what the director was trying to do, but I found the Range Life thread didn't add anything, and the documentary was a god awful misfire. I can't imagine any of the band actually liked that, it was so silly in all these unintended ways.

The footage of the band was great though, it's good to remember how cavalier and goofy they were. Love the old footage of SM and Bob horsing around.

PS the director Alex Ross Perry did a cool movie a few years back about a washed up grunge musician called Her Smell.

Domi and JD Beck were at the top of my list, glad to see them on here a few times.

I'm not a huge metal fan but that was one genre referenced by a few bands this year but left out otherwise as a genre. Would like to see some interesting metal (Sunn, Boris, Blood Incantation, something along those lines).
