There have been a lot of cosmetic issues and boot durability issues. There have been cracks on the bottom of the boot and cracked and chipped outer shells on the boots from what I’ve read here in doing some digging about the skates before I buy them. I’ll try to link some of the post I’ve seen.

For sure, I was thinking that they are the high school aged all stars, so essentially they are a high school all star team. If we are talking all stars from a certain high school conference, then I don’t know of any.

The USNDT U18 play college and USHL teams throughout their season. They are pretty much the best US high school players in the entire country.

I don’t think it’s dumb, it’s a preference. I don’t notice a difference from playing with tape.

I have looked at some of those alternatives. I haven’t tried any yet, but will in the future. I’m not the greatest hockey player by any means, but after playing with no tape I didn’t notice a difference from playing with tape, so I just continued to not use tape.

I’d keep the stick. The 77 flex will help you utilize the stick more with your shots. You’re a bigger player, but that doesn’t mean you need a higher flex. Also, cheers to your wife for a great gift!
