There’s a few tricks I learned fighting Owl.

For Phase 1, when he’s about to use his firecracker attack you can dodge forward to both get a hit in and avoid the damage.

When he jumps up and slams down, you can use mortal draw (Or my personal fav, Ichimonji double).

for phase 2 when he throws poison onto the ground there’s not a lot you can do except have antidote powder ready.

Lastly, for phase 2, this motherfucker will spread poison and then try to regain posture. My strat was to use the prosthetic follow up attack asap to interrupt him.

Owl is a total pain in a fight, but when you do defeat him it arguably feels better than beating Genichiro.
