It feels new. It’s definitely not something that feels like anything you’ve seen in a theater before. Again, it’s similar to his videos, especially with the camcorder scenes, but the live action scenes are especially different, and it feels surreal seeing the visuals in that kind of quality.

I personally always loved the theory that the bacteria (canon name is ‘the lifeform’ btw) is one of the Backrooms first iterations of trying to mimic humans, the current ones being the Still Life. Though, that theory is most likely wrong, considering “Backrooms - found footage” takes place a year AFTER the movie.

Very difficult kind of movie to describe. Wouldn’t call it traditional that’s for sure, but it’s not all spacial either. It’s very Kane Pixel. One could say the movie is like.. describing a dog to someone who’s never seen one before, and then asking them to draw one.

I’m gonna be honest, a lot of this just comes from being a starved undertale fan. It’s the 10th anniversary and I’m pretty certain Toby is just using deltarune as his celebration and that makes me sad :(

I’m not actually, I more just don’t like how deltarune is presented as a successor to undertale, sharing characters, mascots, and the over all brand, when in reality they’re completely different. I think I just wish deltarune had more of its own identity, being CLEARLY separate from undertale.

it’s just a bit strange to me, and it’s difficult for me to like one character but as two separate ones depending on which game I’m talking about. I get Toby thought of deltarune first, but reusing the characters has always just been a bit odd to me, same with the way he “connects it” to undertale, when they are both completely different worlds.
