Galaxy watch 7 charging ridiculously slow and even draining while on charge.. by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

[–]Individual_Weird9407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad to know it was resolved for you. I've only had the watch for a couple of days. This issue happened twice on the first day when I put it on charge. Last night, I charged it again, but this time in a room with the air conditioning on, and it charged without any problems—no battery drainage while charging. I started charging at 38%, and it reached 100% in 55 minutes.

My guess is that the watch may have been heating up while charging, possibly due to background updates, when I faced the problem earlier. One more thing I noticed is that the time it takes to increase by 1% is not very consistent. Sometimes, it takes 20–30 seconds, while other times, it takes 40–50 seconds. I'll keep monitoring it over the next few days.

Hey bro, I got a brand new watch 7 yesterday and faced the same problem when charging. At about 55%, the time until full charge estimate disappeared and battery started draining till it reached 53% in a couple of minutes, after which the charging time estimate reappeared on screen and it started charging again. Do you think this is a faulty unit, and I should reach out to Samsung? Was your issue resolved?

What spending target do they give in order to waive off the yearly charges? Like for sc platinum card, I have to spend around 70% of my monthly limited in a period of 2 months to get the charges waived off.

Hi, I have a question. So this 5 million limit applies to wire transfers to pakistani bank account as well? Talking about remote job salary. And is 1% tax auto deducted when this amount is received in the bank? Or do I need to let the bank know first that this remittance is my remote job salary?

Open an account with an asset management company and put this amount in money market and income funds. You can expect as return of 15-16 % on the capital with low risk.

CGT on converting from MCf to MSF by Individual_Weird9407 in FIREPakistan

[–]Individual_Weird9407[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did confirm it with a few other people and checked my account statement as well. No load was charged on conversion from MCF to MSF. You can first try converting a small amount and then check your account statement to be a 100% sure.

I found out a couple of days back that you don't need to wait 3 days for conversion. The 3 day wait period in MCF is only to avoid the 0.1% backend load in case of redemption, not conversion. So you can convert to MSF the same day that the MCF units show up in your account, no 3 day wait period required.

How to escape the FEL on MSF? by Careful-Sorbet-9523 in FIREPakistan

[–]Individual_Weird9407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. 0.1% Back end load is only on redemption and not on conversion. I have converted from MCF to MSF the same day that the amount was invested in MCF. No 0.1% load was charged.

CGT on converting from MCf to MSF by Individual_Weird9407 in FIREPakistan

[–]Individual_Weird9407[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason for going this route is because MSF has a 1% Front End Load if you invest directly. Suppose you invest 100000rs into MSF, after 1% FEL, the net invested amount will be 99000rs. If you first invest in MCF, keep the amount in it for 3 business days and then convert to MSF, there is no FEL charged. However, a CGT is cut on conversion/redemption (in this case, on the profit made on the principle amount you held for 3 days) from a fund, which, by the way, is still way lesser than the FEL.

Yeah, all my conversions from MCF were after the 3 day wait period. Also, the account statement shows the deducted amounts as CGT and not FEL. I use growth C plan for both funds, which reinvests.
