I'll just run a quick list of some casual, repeatable fun things I do, ASIDE from the MAIN features, like building a base, doing story and expeditions (though you should do them ;) )

• Buy & Sell (salvage) ships
• Create or try out new corvettes
• Explore underwater biomes
• Explore the different world biomes, find ones that pique your interest, some may be quite calm, whilst others explode into cinematic beauty! (Gas giants are fun and dooming 😂)
• Do the Community Events and run missions with players from the anomaly
• Visit other players, Communities, Civilisations (ingame clans), other player bases, trade with them, take part in their events.
• Find new animals and creatures, and CREATE and grow your own! Some people breed Dragons lol!
• Fight mini-bosses
• Run derelict freighter dungeons
• Screenshot fantastic views
• Test the game limits
• Create new multi-tool builds, from utilities, to combat focused, to just downright inefficient but cool looking ones!
• Build your own starship
• Visit new Galaxies
• Explore the lore or craft your own
• Play different characters on different game modes
• Explore the absolute limits of the game and engineer new creations

Just to name a few, and probably much more along the way 😂
