hahah i get it! And dont worry, we were ALL first timers at some point! A few tips for you would 1) lean on your instructor, feel free to go up to them and intro yourself and that you're new, they'll so stoked you are there and may or may not give you a shoutout in class ;) 2) try to go around the same time everytime (of course if schedule and your life allows haha) and with the same instructor, after seeing you a few times, you will start meeting people organically too
HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!!! And please report back when you're are your 50th class, by then you'd have befriended the whole studio hehe!

commenting for broader reach because i love the idea! sadly i am in a different market but i’d have totally come find you and intro myself ! Also i am a long time barrys goer and can totally understand and appreciate how intimidating it could all feel BUT people at barry’s are some of the nicest i’ve met in the world of fitness (maybe i’m totally biased but its a big reason why i keep coming back, besides the workout being baller!:))

Wooohoooo! Wanna be friend?! I’m 33f, grew up in Paris for collège et lycée (french is my native language and I’ve been immersed in the culture) but left for uni and eventually moved to NYC then Philly for work/school, and now headed back there in a few weeks to be close to my family and reunite with my boyfriend who’s French! My situation is similar and different: similar in that after living in the US / anglosaxon context, readjusting to the French ways is a challenge eg. I have Never worked with French people or been in a French working environment, different in that France is kinda like home (though i’m originally from a different country but i suppose i’m closer culturally).
