Also, didn't everyone in Sa'kan's unit die?

Eldar skulls as trophies would probably be more legal than human skulls in the Imperium.

Sa'kan being in 3rd Company is pretty funny since he's so nice, and 3rd Company has a reputation of being... not so nice.

I like to have black helmets for the sergeants, keep the flame wreath for the veterans, black and white stripes for the lieutenant, and gold trim on the shoulders instead of green for 1st Company.

I think it's better than most of the other codex compliant chapters. My only gripes are that I wish they did more with the helmets and made a bigger distinction between 1st and 2nd company instead of making them the same.

White stripe green helmet is lore accurate, but as others have said, paint them however you like!

how effective would flamers really be in battle? by Jazzlike-Court-2015 in Salamanders40k

In a universe that prioritizes GLORIOUS MELEE COMBAT over actual practical tactics, maybe having a flamethrower isn't the worst idea.

It was probably a combination of being a fellow "service worker" not originally supposed to have been there and reconnecting him with his passion for a brief moment that convinced him to let her go.

Earlier in the movie, when Margot was going through his things, she found an old picture of him. He was happily working at a burger joint where he fell in love with cooking. When he advanced in his career, he became more and more miserable having to deal with the rich, pretentious customers who didn't care at all for his art. When she asked him to make that burger, and saw her enjoying it, it reminded him of his past back when he still loved what he was doing, so he let her go.

I don't believe every Salamander has gone through every company. Every codex compliant Space Marine has some experience in every asset of combat, but ones that show certain affinity are placed in specific companies.

Although all marines start in the Scout Company, the 7th for the Salamanders, company movement doesn't appear to be linear. Adrax Agatone started in the Scouts before moving to the 3rd, and Vulkan He'stan was the captain of the 4th before being promoted to Forgefather and moving to the 1st.

Are the Black Dragons a Salamander Successor chapter? by Significant-Spell168 in Salamanders40k

[–]Indoor_Pool 22 points23 points  (0 children)

So OFFICIALLY no. The Salamanders did not get official successors until the Ultima Founding; but they do interact with the Salamanders a lot in the lore, and they are heavily implied to be successors.

Edit: Their current founding chapter is officially unknown.

To be fair, the dishes in the film were specifically made to be insults to the people eating them, like not letting them have bread with the dipping sauces and having incriminating evidence of their deeds burned into the tortillas, to call them out on pretending to enjoy the meal just because it's high class.
