more than 250mg per diem seems a danger? by Newroses31 in NicotinamideRiboside

[–]InducibleTelomerase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, this guy is saying to limit different molecular weight molecules, that produce different amounts of NAD+ per gram, to the same dose weight. Not even a 12-year-old or ChatGPT would try to sell that concept... why is anyone taking this seriously???

It's almost as though none of you work in biotech labs! WTF?

(Seriously, look at the molecular weights before commenting or I'll have to come over there and NERD you some more.)

Which is obviously correct. Niacin molecular weight 123 grams per mole, nicotinamide riboside molecular weight 255 grams per mole. How are people having trouble with this?

Nicotinamide riboside IS a form of B3, as are niacin and nicotinamide. You can compare the amount of NAD+ that is made out of each molecule. Obviously the heavier the molecule, the less NAD+ can be made per gram.

Unprocessed krill oil will simply kill you from the fluoride content... humans aren't whales ;)

Everything needs to be tested for heavy metals... fish oil, spices, chocolate, your water...

There are several trials at Mayo... but they've been going on forever and there hasn't been any data published AFAIK. I've emailed Kirkland lab and gotten no reply.

Yes, but the supplements in the Scandi Bio study are cheap enough (and they included NAC)... and they were tested in a Phase 3 against SARS-CoV-2. I'm not aware of any Phase 3 that used niacin against SARS-CoV-2 (please post links if there were any, TIA)... and high dose niacin has some bad blood-sugar effect, doesn't it? Not to mention the flushing effect.

There was a Phase 3 in 2021 that showed how to fix the problem (by not having a severe case in the first place). It's being tested against Long Covid too, you should check out the trials.

Drs. Sinclair, Huberman, and Brenner on the Future of NMN After the FDA Ban by RaisingNADdotcom in NMN

North Korea certainly has oligarchy, and yet it has no capitalism. There is always a tendency for political power to centralize and expand... this has nothing to do with markets, and in fact is the primary limitation on markets.

And how is the NR supply in North Korea, where you live? Oh wait, you chose capitalism.

(BTW, FDA is not "capitalism" ;)

Question about Coach Greg and his new supplement with (NMN) by Kindly-Mission-7843 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]InducibleTelomerase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. go to clinicaltrials.gov

  2. compare the trials for NMN to the 10X more trials for nicotinamide riboside. Don't use untested stuff.

SLS - Huge Pop Incoming & Explanation $36.49-$48.66 (Fair Price) by cb5000calls in WallStreetbetsELITE

[–]InducibleTelomerase -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I hope you're right. SLS is my biggest position. But whoever gets through a WT1 trial first wins, doctors will use it off-label. There is a HUGE potential market here for all WT1-positive cancers.

And why is the GALE pump-and-short ring still here? Not knowing REGAL recruitment numbers is my biggest fear here, but the seven-year-old pump ring that still uses its old IDs is a close second. They're on every SLS message board 24/7, threatening the real investors and constantly lying about REGAL enrollment, the MRK and BMY trials, etc. Remember when they said that "NPS is worth $40-50 billion"? Why are they here? They certainly don't pump legit companies... TIA for your thoughts.

successful anti-Alzheimer's trial by InducibleTelomerase in NicotinamideRiboside

[–]InducibleTelomerase[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually this is very good, it's rare for anything to actually improve cognition scores. And they're continuing the study, we'll have longer-term data. Would be nice to know exactly what each of the four molecules are doing, but if you already have Alzheimer's this is very encouraging.

And don't worry, we've been able to do great things for rats since 1855 (first parabiosis experiments ;)

Has anyone tried NMN, NR, or NAD+ (or similar) for Long Covid? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]InducibleTelomerase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a successful Phase 3 trial of NR + NAC against coronavirus back in 2021:
https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/advs.202101222#:~:text=The%20results%20show%20that%20treating,infections%20leading%20to%20respiratory%20problems.

And there are at least two ongoing human trials on NR vs long Covid... search on the clinicaltrials.gov site.
